Screwed

No one told me college life was this stressful.
No one ever did.

-_-

And to think that it is far more important than whatever you achieve in high school is just the last straw.

My course isn't meant for ppl like me. No. It definitely isn't.

It's meant for people who actually can work. Who actually is hardworking or simply isn't lazy.

Which is so totally opposite from what I am.

I have handed up my assignments on time and all but so what? My results are stinking like a pile of shit.

I thought I had chosen the perfect set of subjects for me but I may have just screwed myself over.

That set.. is like, the perfect set. A little bit of this a little bit of that. Perfect for me.

But who did I actually think I was?
A boy who passed his Additional Mathematics in Form 5 only once out of 6 times.
A boy who thought he wasn't weak in mathematics but just unlucky as he could understand most of the stuff tought.

Has the boy gotten out of his mind?
TO ACTUALLY TAKE A SUBJECT CALLED :

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Yr 12 for South Australian syllabus.

Note the word "specialist"

From dictionary.com:
specialist
-an expert who is devoted to one occupation or branch of learning
-One who is devoted to a particular occupation or branch of study or research

eh, hello alex of 7 months ago.
To take specialist maths is also basically to mean that you are actually SPECIALISING in MATHEMATICS.

WHICH IS SO NOT MY FORTE?!

My forte would be.. let's see, something to do with communication.. presentation.. or language basically. Or something fun like.. "design an advertisement banner/poster!"
:/

Mathematics.
I don't hate it.
It's just not my kinda thing.

Hey i get the fun part of it and all.. and the logical part of it.
I get why some ppl are crazy over it.
And why some ppl just got the naturally grasp of the subject.

But it's not my strong point.
I hate to admit this but.. I actually think I suck in Maths.
:(
And I thought I was good.
Just 'unlucky'.

My mind works far too slow to process these numbers and funny algebraic stuff in my head.
=(

My other subjects for my current course are okay.

On a totally different and irrelevant note,
I had this for lunch on Tuesday!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

It's some.. wanton noodles garlic sauce with honey bbq chicken thing.

!!!
Nice. But quite costly.

Why the heck did I post that picture up.

I have no idea.

Back to my college life.
Which had been giving me some serious eyebags.
and a very tired face.

And oh yea.
I try so very hard to pay attention during class for specialist maths.
Because if you miss 1 minute of the class, the whole of the next hr is basically pointless cause you wouldn't understand anything.
I may be exaggerating but I dont care.

So anyway,
I will try my best to concentrate and understand everything that was being tought.
And each time I force myself,
I get a headache.
A painful one.
:(

Sometimes I like to feel the pain.. like some sign telling me that my brain is finally working after all these years.
But sometimes I feel it's just pointless and annoying.
I LIKE MATHS OKAY.
And my lecturer doesn't really make it any easier for me.
With her constant naggings and pressure.
SHE REALLY EXPECTS HER STUDENTS TO STUDY 24/7!!!!
JUST BECAUSE I THINK SHE WAS LIKE THAT LAST TIME DURING HER STUDY DAYS,
NOT EVERYONE CAN LAH~

Ok i wasted so much time blogging.
When I should be resting now until I am called up
for the semi-final 2.

World Cup 2006

Okay. So now all my favourites are officially out.
I supported Ivory Coast and Australia and a little bit of England since the tournament began.
But Ivory Coast crashed out in the group stages eventhough they were very convincing indeed.

So after that I fully focused on Australia.
Which CONTROVERSIALLY(sp) THEY WERE UNLUCKLILY KNOCKED OUT.

Then I supported England.
Which.
Just hours ago,
lost in penalties.

But there was one team which had me build my passion towards to as the last 16 progressed..
It was..
France.

Omg with Henry, and the damn chun Zidane and many many more.
I was hoping they would somehow upset the Brazilians or I will never have a favourite ever again as I am seeming to be putting a curse on my favourites.
AND IT HAPPENED!

:o

I mean.
France WON!
Damn convincing summore. Deserved it.

Not that I hate Brazil..
But,
It's just that I support France.

It's 5:44am now and I'm tired.
I can't seem to get a proper sentence constructed properly.

Nice semis.

Germany vs Italy

France vs Portugal(go france)

B18

It's true.
The class B18 in Taylor's College SJ,
there's something hypnotizing about it.

seriously.

i never once entered that class for a class and completed it wide awake.
i'll for sure doze off for some reason.

it's a class which makes everyone feel like sleeping.

i dunno if it's just the order of subjects for that day but still!

noooooooooooooo.

the horror.

the horrorrr..

If you have some serious eyebags, I'm afraid you are starting to look like me.

With total no relevance to the title and my previous post in this blog,

It's bothering me

The statement, 'what goes around, comes around.'

Is it even,
true?

I know those with a strong religious mind will believe in that strongly. But being a not so religious person, I beg to differ.

If I put glue on my friend's chair, will I get gum on my shoes sometime not long after?

Those instances when something bad actually happened when you did something bad, are all I believe, coincidences.

One of the reasons would be,
I can see many successful ppl who aren't that nice of a person if you get to know him or her. I also see many nice, kind, (whatever positive adjective u can find) people living miserably and not as happily as the others.

I believe having this 'karma' belief is mostly what a mastermind has invented ages ago. When something bad happens, everyone looks for something to blame. And when the fingers are pointed, it normally ends unhappily. Having no one to blame but themselves actually not only prevents any misunderstandings but also makes everyone try their very best to NOT do anything evil (insert evil smiley here) as they do not want anything to happen unto them.
So at the end of the day, everyone becomes nice.

O.o

like so wtf rite?
philosopher alex.

But I have to agree it may be true to some extent too.
Newton's theory of action = reaction is a weird argument though I feel.
What meant for force has become such an overused theory and simply put in any possible scenarios. :/

I'm a damn nice person la.
I don't think just because I jokingly punch a friend on the shoulder makes me hit by a huge boulder at a random construction site the next day.

I also don't think just because I happily joined in a crowd insulting a person leaves me having no one to talk to the following week or something.

Because if it's true, then who is responsible for these 'counter attacks'?
God?
Nature?
Myself?

Some may argue that none of the above makes sense but that we should do unto others what you want others to do unto you because,
Eg :- you tell X something bad about Y. Y heard about it. Ur reputation gets tarnished. Everyone found out you talked bad about Y. No one likes you now.

something like that.
I cannot explain.

But to explain it in terms of religion or karma just seem so mind boggling for me.

Haih.
I'm such a confused kid.

Also,
technology is evil.
Communication through technology should never be invented.
Simply because the other party does not know the tone of voice you are giving out when you deliver a message.
As simple as that.

Wat meant as a compliment can look as an insult.
Wat meant as sarcasm can be seen as a death threat.

o.O

Sad la the world today.
Don't so sensitive pls!
Everyone!

another thing,
I want to clear something up.
Just because,
I said something bad about you, showed my temper, or become angry at you for some reason,
all I want you to know is.
It doesn't last. Not at all.
As much as I want it to, it doesn't happen unfortunately. :(

However, it does not mean you should be taking advantage of it.
Tx.

So if you see me talking to you the next day after an argument or something,
just know that I'm sincere!
Not angry anymore. Or just can't be.
-.-

My life's so messed up I'm actually shocked there are people jealous of me [you know who u are, ;)]

Hehe. And thats not a perasan statement okay?

Lala.

And yea,
some driving questions I would like the answers to:

1)You are reversing straight without any turn then you want to turn left, meaning the back of your car will move towards the right. When you turn, do the left side of ur car 'makan' any more space than what it originally 'makan-ed'? Like move to the left more abit. Does it?

2)Do you think the left side mirror is not as easy to see as the other 2 mirrors?

3)Agree with estimation of cars distance from the mirrors is not something you get immediately when you first started driving?

4)Parking for the first few weeks/months is not as easy as you thought it was?

5)That it sucks to be involved in an accident?

Tx for the answers.
I'll be glad to hear em anywhere. MSN preferably. :)

Luck

Do you believe in luck?

I remember my brother triggered this question in my head a few years back or something.
For one, he said he didn't believe in luck and gave some 'beat around the bush' explanation on why it cannot be possible. I wouldn't know if he still thinks the same but that's not the point now.

The thing is,
I feel like I'm on a streak of... negative luck. (yea i'm superstitious. so wat?)

Yes. Bad luck if you may call it. (shivers)

I bet for the World Cup.
And I'm on a terribly losing streak.
like.. wtf?

So yesterday, my friends and I decided to rest. I said to them. Ok. I'm taking Australia. I'm not betting but I'm taking Australia. See what happens. If Australia wins with the handicap, means my luck is coming back.
What do you know?
Brazil has an 1-0 lead until the 89th minute. Like WTF?!!

Korea. I kept asking my friends to go for it. But they said my tips or predictions rather can't be trusted anymore. And what do you know? They won with the handicap.

HUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH?!
WHAT IS WRONG LA.

And just, Togo vs Switzerland.
Like wTF?! again.
Took Togo.
Winning half with the handicap until the 88th minute or something. 2-0.
?!!!@$!@$!@$!@$!@$?!@%!@?%!@?%!@?%!?@!??!?!?!?!?

Why.
Why.
Why.

Had a minor setback with my driving this morning. Super bad luck. Not minor to some extent. But it was still part of the bad luck thing I'm under I think.

Everyday I tell myself,
there is no such thing as luck.
There is no such thing as luck.
There is no such thing as luck.

Then I see Luck everyday hiding at the corner of my room giggling happily to himself, distracting me while I groan in disbelief at the TV. I looked at Luck. He sees me and suddenly I became stupid.

Sometimes it is just too hard to deny the existence of luck.
I don't think anyone have a day where they will say at the end of it,"Wow. What a neutral day!"

It will either be,"DAMN BAD DAY TODAY"(sings Daniel Powter - Bad Day)
Or,
"WOWOOWOWW GOOD LUCK TODAY MAN"(sings any other random song)

Some may argue they had something bad happen in the morning and that night it became the luckiest night of their lives.
But,
I'm ignoring that cause i have nothing to say to that.
Not a big chance of it happening anyway. At least compared to my early examples. Lala

So anyway, like I was saying, I'm on a streak of bad luck.
I don't know how to see the end of the streak.

Maybe I shud toss a coin and see what I guess is correct 3 times in a row.
Or something. Shit too much Mathematical Studies.

GO AWAY DARK CLOUD! STOP DRAINING MY LUCK AWAYYYYY!
SHOO!

p.s:- nick, richmond what bet next?

Sing-a-long!

See the orangey(i think) music player thing at the side? Let it buffer a little while, and start singing! :)

I'm so nice.
---

Daniel Powter
Bad Day

Where is the moment we need at the most
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
They tell me your blue skies fade to grey
They tell me your passion's gone away
And I don't need no carryin' on

You stand in the line just to hit a new low
You're faking a smile with the coffee to go
You tell me your life's been way off line
You're falling to pieces everytime
And I don't need no carryin' on

Cause you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day
You had a bad day

Well you need a blue sky holiday
The point is they laugh at what you say
And I don't need no carryin' on

You had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day

(Oh.. Holiday..)

Sometimes the system goes on the blink
And the whole thing turns out wrong
You might not make it back and you know
That you could be well oh that strong
And I'm not wrong

(yeah...)

So where is the passion when you need it the most
Oh you and I
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost

Cause you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
You've seen what you like
And how does it feel for one more time
You had a bad day
You had a bad day

Taylor's

I'm now happily enjoying the cool air-conditioned at Taylor's, blogging.
:/

There's this guy behind me who kept groaning or releasing some weird sound once every few minutes. He sounds like he's crying/laughing.
Ok I just looked back. He's surfing wikipedia. I think it's for his project for SAM. I think like almost all of us, he has gone either totally insane or dwelled into depression.

Ok.
Today is the first day after 2 long weeks of holidays. Sigh. Damn tired. Friends also noticed the heavy eyebags at my eyes. :( I hate waking up early.

The week of college before the holidays being the exam week, I got my exam results today. Omg.
I duno wat to say. At first I was quite satisfied. But I ended up being very disappointed because it isn't very good. Dunooooo ler.
Honestly, I felt like I did my best for Specialist Maths. I was happy with the outcome, but the result is still so insufficient. Just not enough.

Dem tired now.

Sure sleeping early today.
After Australia vs Japan I guess.

World Cup gogogo.

(just another random boring update)

Holidays ended

My longest break of the year has reached its end.

My supposed plan of watching the 4 movies I listed has failed miserably as expected.
In the end, I only managed to watch 2 out of 4.. and it was for 2 days straight on Friday and Saturday.

I watched Over The Hedge on Friday with the guys before departing to Subang for some cafe session.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

The movie was quite funny at parts. Quite good I would say but doesn't deserve any more praises than that. It was soooo much better than Chicken Little but that's not saying much. There were parts I laughed my head off but the movie didn't really leave a lasting impression on me. Funny ler, but just that. Entertaining to watch.
I'm not picky.

I watched X-Men 3 : The Last Stand just now.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Superrrrrrrrrrr gaya!
The fighting scenes were extremely 'kan cheong'.
Got some parts I just had to whisper into my friend's ear, "Damn gaya!"
Omg serious la damn gaya.
I don't care what the X-Men fanatics are saying but this movie is great! I know this movie didn't really please some ppl but it certainly pleased me!

Bwahahaha.

So now,
I still need to watch Poseidon and Da Vinci Code.
But I'm removing Poseidon from the list because it is not really a MUST watch for me now.
I've also added another to my list eventhough my college is about to start on Monday.
Zzz.

Cars! Of course.
I heard my frens said it was damn nice.
Must must watch!!

---

Eh after the X-Men, I attended some sort of a gathering at a very very expensive japanese buffet, Shogun in 1U.
Not really worth it la. I did not have much appetite anyway. Aih. Summore got a little bit of stomachache.
Terrible night for buffet.
I was trying so hard to make it worth it that I took so much Salmon the 2nd round.

Really couldn't eat in the end. :/
Had a great time meeting ppl I didn't meet for a few months now.
MY biggest regret was only not talking as much to the other ppl from the other table.
Must communicate more wat!
I hope I didnt come across as arrogant or something.

Nooo.

College starting on Monday, like I said.
I'm okay with it. Already trying to withstand the boulders of pressure that are gonna mount on me.

Stay strong Alex. 5-6 months of college to go!

World Cup 2006

I've just watched the opening match - Germany vs Costa Rica.

The match ended 4-2 btw and the commentator said it was a very high scoring match for an opening match. How would I know anyway. My craze for football came 3-4 years ago.

Anywayz,
It was pretty exciting because I was betting on Costa Rica with the handicap but I lost half cause Germany scored a wonder goal at the 87th minute. WTF?!

Games are always nicer to watch if you bet on a team. =)

I'm totally heated up for this world cup. Yeah.

Weeeeeeeeeee.

I got myself ready by purchasing a World Cup 2006 Guidebook which had posters charts and all in it. Pretty worth it.

I tend to support the underdogs for competitions so I'm all out for Ivory Coast and Australia! Gogo Toure. Gogo Viduka.
I also support England because I watch the EPL(:/).
I don't have a specific team I don't like but being asian, it's weird that I do not really enjoy South Korea much. Or Japan for that matter. I hope Iran goes far though.

It sux cause I know several courses which are having their holidays right now. WTF. Mine just ended. ARGH. WTF LERRRRRRRRRZZZZzz.

But try la.. to watch some important matches. Hmm.

My guidebook and the charts and all.
Heh, bring it on WC2006!

I...

..I...

omg..

I...

...actually...

PASSED MY DRIVING TEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I CANT CONTROL MY EMOTIONS?>!!!?!@#@

U KNOW WHY?!

BECAUSE,

FOR SO MANY FREAKING DAYS

I HAD SLEEPLESS NIGHTS.. TOSSING AND TURNING IN MY BED.. THINKING ABOUT HOW AM I GONNA PASS MY DRIVING TEST.

I WAS NERVOUS AS HELL.
I NEVER FELT SO NERVOUS BEFORE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE.
I DONT FEEL SO NERVOUS FOR NORMAL ACADEMICS EXAMINATION.

BUT I WAS SUPER NERVOUS THIS TIME.

SO ANYWAY,

I CAME SO EARLY IN THE MORNING, WAITING FOR MY NUMBER TO BE CALLED.
IN THE END, I WAITED A TOTAL OF 5 HOURS AND 45 MINUTES UNTIL MY NUMBER WAS CALLED TO GO ON THE ROAD.

HA-HA-HA.

MY NUMBER WAS "36". THEY CALLED 33,34,35,37,38 SO EARLY BUT NOT 36 I DONT KNOW WHY.

BUT WHEN I WAS WALKING TO THE WAITING FOR THE ON THE ROAD TEST AREA, ONE OFFICER STOPPED ME AND ASKED,"AWAK NOMBOR 36??" I SAID YES AND HE BROUGHT ME TO A NEARER CAR WHICH I HAD TO REVERSE. I COULDNT MAKE THE CAR MOVE. IT WAS DIFFERENT CAUSE IT HAD AIRCON ON AND IT WAS QUITE NEW. HAHAHHAHA I THOUGHT TO MYSELF. I WAS SO NERVOUS I TOT HE WILL FAIL ME FOR SURE WHEN I ASKED,"KENAPA MACAM INI??? TAK BOLEH BERGERAK" HE SOUNDED SO PISSED AND SAID TEKAN LAGI OIL LEPAS CLUTCH!!!!

HAAHAHA IN THE END IT MOVED. BUT MANUALING THAT CAR SUX. I PREFER MY INSTRUCTOR"S EASY TO MOVE CAR. HAHAHAHAH AND WHEN I ENDED THE WHOLE JOURNEY, I SAW I PASSED. DAMN HAPPY. HALF BURDEN GONE.

ok enuff of caps.

I am just too excited. I just passed less than 30 mins ago. Barely.

Anyway, it sucks to have you feeling all so worried and nervous in the morning when u arrive awaiting ur turn.. but in the end u had to wait for SOOOO LONG instead.

By then, you don't know if you rather hope you're next because u are getting restless or hope ur turn doesn't coem soon because u are so freaking nervous.
Sucks.

Talking back about the officer in the car testing me, when he sounded irritated.. i really thought it was all over there. Thank God something happened. Miracle I think. I didnt let the engine die but I couldnt make the car move. SUX. WELL OF COURSE I DID IN THE END.

I waited a while again for the "hill-parking-3ptturn" combo.

My instructor was there... before I went, he told me his students ALL passed today.. he looked so proud.. like never happened before. Since I'm the last one of his students to be tested, I was like shit. Additional pressure.

He purposely chose a car for me.. BUT OMG WHAT HAPPENED SO EMBARASSING.
THERE WASNT THAT MANY PPL BUT MY FIRST ATTEMPT ON THE SLOPE FAILED MISERABLY. I CAN ACTUALLY HEAR MY INSTRUCTOR GROANING. EITHER IN ANGER OR EMBARASSMENT I DONT KNOW.

The freaking car jerked up jerked up jerked up before I stopped BEFORE the yellow line.
GG.
THE MAN on top asked me for my number and asked me to go again.. MY JOURNEY UP WAS SMOOTHER BUT!!!

But, I actually felt I stopped far too early and same with my first try.
OMG I WAS SO SAD THAT TIME.
I THOUGHT I ALREADY FAILED. SO LONG WAITED FOR NOTHING.
But that guy ask me to go on..
So I went over that hill and down and stopped the car somewhere..
And when to sign the form.. and on the way to the hill, I prayed and prayed and prayed for a miracle.

AND WHAT DO U KNOW. I ACTUALLY SAW THAT MAN TICKED LULUS. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

SO KAI. I THINK I FAILED ACTUALLY. WELL I COULDNT REALLY SEE. BUT IT FELT THAT WAY.
I AM SO HAPPY. I BARELY PASSED THAT PART.

Parking.. my favourite. Cause I love to enter tight spaces and the turning and all is fun.

BUT WHAT DO U KNOW? IT WAS MY WORST EVER PARKING. WHY. WHY MUST IT HAPPEN EVERY TIME. IT WAS PERFECT DURING PRACTICE.

This time, my car was far too out parked. I THINK IT WAS RIGHT ON THE WHITE LINE. An officer in charge stopped and checked. With a reluctant face, he asked me to continue and go to the 3 point turn.

AH?! I THOUGHT FAILED MEANS GET OUT? OR ASK ME TO ENTER AGAIN AS IT IS NOT 5 MINS YET?

SO I WENT TO THE 3 POINT TURN AND DID IT PROPERLY. MY CAR HAD A LOUD VROOOOOOOM SOUND THROUGHOUT THE PARKING AND THE 3 POINT TURN BY THE WAY. I DONT KNOW WHY. IT DIDNT HAPPEN DURING PRACTICE.

I think i heard the officers actually saying "aiyoh". I THINK THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT MY CAR!!!

Anyway, I think the loud sound is caused by the aircon. U need to press additional oil and I couldnt release the clutch cause everytime I attempt, the car will jerk like a monkey.

SO I STOPPED MY CAR AFTER THAT SOMEWHERE AND WENT TO SIGN THE FORM.

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
I SAW LULUS TICKED EVERYWHERE

I CANT BELIEVE IT. THE OFFICERS MUST LIKE ME SOMEHOW. CAN IT BE MY NEW HAIRDO? OR THE PITY MY CUTE FACE.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

IT WAS SO JUST!

and BARELY.

But TO HELL WITH IT.

The fact remains that,

I PASSEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HAHAHHHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA
The most desperate guy for a license this year HAS FINALLY GOTTEN IT.

I AM SO HARPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

hHEHEHEHAEHAEHaheheahae
HEHEHAEHAHEA
HOW TO STOP SMILING. TEACH ME PLS.

My Hair and I

Ladies and gentlemen,
this,

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

is my hair. (frontview)

and this, ladies and gentlemen,

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

are my eyes.

I have not had a haircut for a long long time and thus my hair has grown very very long; to the extent of it become sort of an annoyance.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

THAT boy right there(yes it's a boy), is me.
As you can cleary see, the long hair in front, clearly 'interacts' with my eyes.

It hurts.

My eyes gets sooo bloody itchy and dry. Thx to my hair.
I realised I can't have long hair. It disturbs my vision and hurts my eyes.
Other ppl especially those from other countries can without a problem. Because their eyes are set deeper in. Unlike mine. :(

I will be going for a haircut soon. I think the haircut will happen the day the next time I wake up. I want a new fresher look actually. Bye style #46 of mine(random).

---

On another note,
I am using a new computer. It's much better compared to my old one anyway. Not new as in new new but just new in a sense that it's newer and it's a replacement for my old one. I'm actually using my dad's one last time(which is better than mine). It's great and all but unfortunately, it's not all perfect. There's something wrong. My computer keeps restarting itself during games. I checked and it says something wrong with the installation of a new hardware/software and they asked me to check. But HOW IN THE WORLD AM I GOING TO CHECK when EVERYTHING I installed is new?! Sigh. I guess I gotta call some technicians.

No games till then. :(
Sigh. Why can't I have anything perfect? Why must there be a flaw somewhere everytime.

Why.

Movies2watch

I'm currently doing nothing whatsoever for my 2 weeks holidays and I have several movies I HAVE to watch by the end of the holidays. I don't care. MUST watch. I'm outdated enough in the movie world already.

1. X-Men 3 : The Last Stand
2. The Da Vinci Code
3. Over The Hedge
4. Poseidon
5. Mission Impossible 3

I've watched MI3 some weeks ago but I'm just putting it there cause it's apparently a big hit in the cinemas and the box office worldwide.

C'mon! Searching for movie kaki(s) thx.

Update

My instructor just called. I have another driving lesson tomorrow. YAWN. Already so sick of it. I just want to barely pass the test and get over it. I had enough of my inability to 'feel' the car when it is moving slow or know when to change gears. And to start a car from the traffic light. Too stress. Must...get... over it.

I also really really want to watch a movie! So many nice movies out. 2 weeks holidays summore. Weee~

Nothing else to blog about.
2 weeks holidays just enough to get my thoughts straight.

C'mon Alex. I know you can drive better than that. :(
I hope so.

I see a change in me

Hello world.
I thought about posting this ever since the day first I started blogging and I'm finally doing it now. I will not have as much determination to do this as I don't have the mood to be on a searching frenzy but since I'm free now.. this will probably be just a rough one.. the more detailed one will be for some other time.

Coming back to the topic,
I thought it'll be interesting to note the changes that happened over the years. Yes. In me. :D
Are u excited now?

and of course I'll be taking my best-looking pictures of that time. duh. or some funny ones too.

*warning - picture-filled post*

Well for starters,
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

there. everyone gets treated to a very cute baby pic of mine. I seriously do NOT remember the year of that photograph.

duno what year. looks older than the baby one so i'm putting it here. so cute~

and then, I grew.

(i don't have a 2001 pic, will try to locate it)

2002. Form 2!:

June
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Nov(don't ask)
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Dec(hehe)
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I realised my face didn't really have a shape.. yea i'm sure it's round and all but it's like I don't really have a feature. I think cartoonist will find it hard to sketch me out cause I looked so messy. -_- I know I wasn't good looking and all but thx for letting me live in denial! weee~ (and don't start the omg alex u were so thin shit, thx)

Now,
2003:

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

How... horrible!

Nick Lachey - What's Left of Me

Watch my life,
Pass me by,
In the rearview mirror
Pictures frozen in time
Are becoming clearer
I don't wanna waste another day
Stuck in the shadow of my mistakes

Yeah...

[Chorus]
Cause I want you,
And I feel you,
Driving underneath my skin
Like a hunger,
Like a burning,
To find a place ive never been
Now I'm broken,
And I'm faded,
I'm half the man i thought i would be:
But you can have what's left of me

I've been dying inside,
Little by little,
No where to go,
But going out of my mind
In endless circles,
Running from my self until,
You give me a reason for standing still

[Chorus]

It's falling faster,
Barely breathing,
Give me something,
To believe in
Tell me: It's all in my head

Take what's left
Of this man
Make me whole
Once again

[Chorus]

I've been dying inside you see
Im going out of my mind
Out of my mind
I'm just running in circles all the time
Will you take what's left
Will you take what's left
Will you take what's left of me?
Running in circles in my mind
Will you take what's left
Will you take what's left
Will you take what's left of me?

Mid Year

Doing maths in the MPH is just wrong.
It's the Multi Purpose Hall in Taylor's in case you are wondering.
FREAKING COLDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!
2 hours in a fridge kills. It freezes whatever I use to think. Maths summore! Can you just imagine. Zzz.

People did warn before but I didn't bother. Well I didn't really feel it anyway until the last 10 minutes. My hands were as cold as ice. Seriously. Not exaggerating. I think I could make a hot milo to a chilly one. (thinks of Iceman from X-Men. Gaya!)

2 more days. Tomorrow worst day. Specialist Mathematics followed by IT Studies.
I seriously don't know what I'm gonna do for Specialist Mathematics. On the verge of giving up.. I don't know how am I gonna face it for the rest of the year. Thank god for 2 weeks holidays next week! Considering consulting a counsellor about the problem. :S I thought I had managed to pick myself up in that subject.. but after trying the past year papers for the Mid Year.. Lost all hope again. Zzz.

Thus, gonna concentrate more on IT Studies I guess. At least more hope of scoring.
See how. Very tired now anywayz.

Learnt a new thing today. Never skip questions for college maths! You may think you will have time to go back but nooooooooooooooooo.. you won't. After skipping a particular question, it's like kissing that question goodbye as you won't be seeing it again until it's marked. So I basically skipped some do-able questions and oh wellz. We'll see what happens.

End Update.

My life so far

What happens when it's 4:30am, got no one to talk to online, all sites have been surfed at least 3 times for the past few hours, and revising your work leaves you more frustrated at the end of the day?

You blog.

And so my boredom and un-willingness to sleep started.
My original objective was to revise my work until the early hours of the morning then getting my sleep after that, but I guess I've got to put on hold what I planned to do.

It's not as easy as it seems.

And so I began surfing Friendster randomly in hopes to find something or someone interesting that will occupy me for the next half an hour or so, and what I did came across strangely didn't leave me satisfied I thought I would be.

I came across an old friend of mine profile which left my school quite some time ago but we still managed to keep in touch somehow..
It wasn't until just now when I realised how unfairly I had treated her(yes, it is a her) last time.

All those while, I had this thought on my mind of me being the superior one. I thought I was the guy everyone loved and everyone just wanted to be in line to get my approval for a friendship. My ego-istic, self-centred self did not feel as if I was having any troubles with finding friends at all, no.

It's not like I was boasting around telling people around how many friends I had and how many people loved me. I wasn't also telling aloud I was very likable and people cannot get enough of me. But those assumptions were INDEED in my mind. And thinking about it is bad enough.

However, I am still not denying that I treat many people very nice and also am not denying that what I do everyday is genuine and sincere. Throughout my life in school, I had been criticised and accused of 'faking' my actions each day but the only thing I faked was acting friendly in front of those accusers. I was nicknamed bubbly, happy-go-lucky and most often people describe me as fun to be with and simply cheerful. Hey I'm not stating all those because I'm letting them get to my head because that is definitely not my intention in this post.

My intentions are, I want to clear it up once and for all that for one, I was genuine in what I do each day and how I may react to certain situations.
And secondly, however much people may have a positive impression of me, I thought far too highly.

Yes, positive impression.. but must that mean they must like me?

Most definitely not.

And so the conflict began, when my thoughts of everyone MUST somehow like me in a way came crumbling down.

Which was actually triggered from me surfing the friendster's profile.
I searched through her photos she posted and all I saw was her smiling and doing funny poses with her new-found friends at college. She even had plenty of pictures of friends from her school she went to after mine. I remembered just a few months back, she had a pic of me and another classmate of mine and she caption-ed it as "Old friends from SSC" But today, the pic is non-existent.

It then shook me. I had treated her unfairly, not giving her the attention she gave me and not caring for her as sincerely as she cared for me. All because I thought she just wanted my friendship for the sake of it. And then thoughts of her spending time with me just flashed before my eyes. Yes. She did care. But I didn't. Not as much anyway.

I didn't appreciate her friendship and hence she has moved on with her life and has left me behind regretting what I did in the past.

I don't blame her.
It was not worth waiting for me anyway.

Which leaves me very confuse in a way actually. At the same time, I'm afraid some friends I had or currently have are just using me in a way. Because I certainly suspect a few but hey, who am I to judge right?

I just want to apologize to the friend of mine who has gone many steps ahead eventhough it's far too late now. It's highly doubtful she will read this but at least I said it. You've made a good decision. Thx for giving me the wake up call.

My Mid-Year Examinations this whole week.
Weee.
After that 2 weeks holidays. 3 days of exams= 14++ days of holidays!
That'll be exciting.
It actually acts as some sort of a motivation that I shud work now and rest like mad later but somehow attempting to study is tough.
Hey I tried okay? I started ATTEMPTING some Specialist Mathematics question and realised that was a terrible decision. Me not being able to solve MOST(almost all) of the questions just made me super frustrated. Sigh.
I dunno man. I thought I was actually heading in the right track until the past year questions for the Mid Year came. So hard. HOW AM I GONNA GO THROUGH SPEC MATHS!!

AIHHH.
Maybe I shouldn't had started with it. Spoilt my mood only.
Tomorrow hardcore Mathematical Studies. Ok. Not that hardcore since I'll probably wake up at 5pm or so. But still must stardeeeee!

must must must!

Arsenal Arsenal

Just, I took a cab home from Taylor's College at around 3pm after my class.
I was abit hesitant at first to enter the cab but I just had to go home as Chrisanne told me she was going to gome home at 7.30pm today for some studying at the library.

So anyway, I assumed the price I need to pay for a trip from Subang Jaya to Shah Alam is around RM20 because that was what I paid the last time I took a cab from Subang Parade to my house. But I don't even know if I was cheated that time. And I'm not even sure if I was cheated just now.

So when I opened the door asked if he could get me to my house, he asked me for a rate. "Biasanya bayar berapa?"

I gave a ?_? face and started thinking.
Damn. How much should I say. If I said RM20 will I be cheated twice?! I don't know cab rates these days. I don't use em. How much how much.

So I just tried my luck and said,
"Kira-kira 15 ke 20 ringgit macam tu la"

Then he said, "Beri rate la, senang sikit"

Me : Oh er... RM15 la.

He just showed a slightly annoyed look and agreed to take me. Like it's too cheap or something. But he may be acting so I wouldn't know.

Oh well. If anyone somehow DO know the taxi rates from SJ to SA, pls let me know. Thx. So I won't feel like I'm being cheated anymore.

--------

Looking at the topic of this post simply sums what I was going to post about.
It's the long-awaited classic. The game which promised to be the most exciting game ever played in a CL finals. The game of all games. Yeah, I'm talking about the Champions League Finals showdown between Arsenal and Barcelona.

U see. I was an Arsenal fan ever since few years back and I became more and more passionate for 'my' club as the years went by. I was obviously upset they didn't do well in the Premier League this season but on the other hand, the Champions League glory became possible.
I wasn't very excited bout the finals until a few hours before the match as I read the write-ups to the match online and newspaper articles which triggered the hype.

I would imagine being extremely happy to see Henry lifting the cup and the confetti raining down in full glory.
So I stayed up and watch. I had to.

But what happened to the so-called 'promised-to-be-a-classic' game?

At the 18th minute, Lehmann whose form has been fantastic this season especially in the Champions League, got sent off.
I looked and was shocked to my guts.
The dark clouds just overshadowed me at that very moment. And my hopes of seeing Arsenal in Champions League glory came crashing down in front of my very eyes.

Arsene Wenger has tried so hard. Arsenal has gone so far. Everyone has spoken so much.
But it was unavoidable now. Defeat I meant.

Pires got taken off. Almunia replaced as goalie.

I was almost proven to be wrong when Sol Campbell headed the ball into the opponent's net.
1-0 to Arsenal.
Scored with 10 men.
I couldn't contain my excitement and I started messaging the people I know who was interested.

Scored with 10 men. Wow. Arsenal. Truly magnificient. 10 men against the Spanish Champions and scored. Just wow.

The commentators seemed to agree with my viewpoint.
They seemed pissed, annoyed and frustrated with the referee.
Henry and many other Arsenal players got yellow carded with their 'hard' tackles. All Henry did was initialising a fantastic tackle. But he got yellowcarded.
Barca players came tackling late from the back. Many times. Yellow card offences for sure. But all the referee did was to give the free kick in Arsenal's favour.

Halftime came and I managed to take a breather. 10 men. What can Arsenal do.
I didn't write them off just yet. There is still a chance. A small glimpse of hope remains glowing in the dark.

Barca pushed like mad in the 2nd half. As expected.
All Arsenal did was defend. But they even managed to almost scored some as well with great runs from Fabregas, Ljungberg and Henry. But with 10 men, it is simply too tiring. They either lose their footings after a while or concentration on attack cannot be of 100% as they are afraid of the counter attack.

At the 79th minute, Barca equalised. They looked like scoring ever since Lehmann got sent off. With that goal, the 16 hour record mark Arsenal not conceding a goal came to an end. I was not upset with the way Arsenal conceded the goal. 10 men against Barca. Too big of an advantage to give I'm afraid. Eto was fantastic too I admit.
Then came the moment where my prayers all ended.
Barca scored a 2nd just 2 mins after they scored the first.
End of the match. Fullstop.

It was a climax-less CL Finals with at least one of the teams not to its full potential obviously. Lehmann who had a record of 100% saves in the CL would be the difference in this match. If it was 11vs11 with the on form goalkeeper still, I believe Arsenal had a chance to score even more. They looked great. Very focused until the sent off. Heck, they even had a chance at the 2nd minute. From that 2nd minute, I became more confident. All until the nightmare 18th minute.

Pires will have something to prove as he may be leaving to Spain next season. Arsenal were just great last night I thought. Even with 10 men. They defended extremely well and even had many, many opportunies to score considering their 10 men status.

Alot of ppl will come and tell me, "well they lost, get over it"
But I can't.
If Arsenal did lose with the fairest of referees and the best of the teams,
I would not be that disturbed.
But it obviously didn't happen. The game which was hyped up weeks and weeks by the media and the people around was simply destroyed by the red card decision.
It's just very unfortunate that we will not know if the truly best team had won.

And don't come telling me the game will end up the same even with 11vs11. Because it's not true. I believe people who start laughing at Arsenal now would be the people who didn't watch the match. The climax-less, one-sided CL Finals. 10 players having to work the work of 11 was simply too much especially against a quality side from Barca.

I repeat, it is just very unfortunate that no one will know if the best team had won.
It started off with what it promised but the game ended at the 18th minute. That was how I see it.

All that being said, I have to give credit to Barca. I believe Ronaldinho proved why he was the World Player of The Year with his fantastic dribbles and sight for goal. He was just simply too hard to tackle 1on1. I thought Eto was their best with his never-ending commitment and his skills were just electrifying. I like that man. I thought he was very professional too with the way he played the game.

Now the speculations will begin regarding the future of Thierry Henry.
I hope he stays, of course.. but it will only depend on what he sees in Arsenal comparatively to the team he saw at Barca. If I were him, I will definitely see that Arsenal simply had as much or maybe more quality to the spanish team that night.
With Henry already claiming that London was his one true home, I hope that even if he leaves, it wouldn't be the reason of seeing that Arsenal cannot match his ambitions.

Because I honestly felt they certainly did early this morning in Paris.
At the very, 'interesting' CL finals.
Arsenal to the end.

I don't like driving anymore

Yes. I said it.
A boy who was proud of his so-called 'gifted' driving skills ain't claiming that anymore. In fact, he is saying no more than the opposite.

My driving sucks. It's true.

I just finished my driving lesson minutes ago. And it was horrible. I never felt like I want to get out of the car so much in my life.

This was what happened.
It was my 3rd lesson or so, and my driver was supposed to pick me up from a place near my college.

So I went there on time and waited. Not longer than a few minutes, he arrived.
So naturally, I got into the passenger's seat and hoped to arrive at my driving centre for some maybe balancing or 3-point-turn practice.

After maybe a few turns or so around, he asked me.
"So you want to drive to the centre?"

I cannot remember the words exactly but it was something along that line.

A little suprised, I was thinking to myself like ,'what? can i or not'

In words, it came out as "Err...not sure la.. can meh?"

He didn't really reply. Probably used to such replies I guessed.
He just gave a little smile and said something like,"can slowly".

So he stopped the car at some area near my college.
I quickly proceeded into the driver's seat as soon as possible as I was quite sure there will be some college students around and I don't want anyone to recognize me.

So happily and excitedly(with a little fear), I got into the car.
I had not driven for 1 week plus so I had to try to comfort myself and get used to the stuff.

Sigh. Bad move, Alex.
So I was driving very slowly and happily..
For the first time in my life,
I got honked.

Screw those people I tell you. Can't they ever understand the L plate behind the car?! Not everyone are born good drivers u know. Grr.

The honkings got very normal after a while. Hey I'm not allowed to speed anyway. What do you expect?

So I learned how to change gears for the first time. Omg. How can he actually teach me on the road?! I mean.. it's just so sudden. Couldn't I get some warm up first at some less congested road?

Obviously I took some time to get used to it.

But when I finally did, it was quite smooth sailing until I got to some traffic congestion.
Oh gosh.
It's super tough for a first time. It really is.
I don't care if some people who are reading this are saying,"it was easy or not that difficult"
The fact remains that, it was tough from me. Coming out from a stopping position to a moving one.
IT"S TOUGH!!@!$@$%!@

Especially if there's a mini hill.
Super duper tough.
The moment I put down my hand brakes and do the balancing shit.
GG. Thousands of cars already passed each staring into my car in some annoyed look.

HELLO? I AM NO EXPERT OKAY? I BELIEVE UR EYES ARE CLEAR ENUFF TO SEE THE L PLATE BEHIND??

Bah. More honks.
I tried to keep myself composed and just concentrated on driving.

I was also a little sleepy so I was trying my best to open my eyes wide. (don't tell anyone this especially my relatives)

There was one time I remembered, some young malay guy who was having a P plate at his car.. came and cut my road and he put his hand out like a signal of thanks or something. I THINK HE DID IT INITIALLY! He came so close I had to turn right a little. My instructor immediately shooked and said "ehhh dont turn like that!"
I was explaining about that car but he just asked me to release my oil or something.
Haih. Bad impression.

My first on-the-road drive was pretty okay with exception to the stopping parts I guess. I don't think I was the worst, no.

There were some moments when my instructor shouted to me but he didn't really mean it in a negative way. It's all part of the teaching process. How can things like "CLUTCH, BRAKE!" or "OIL HANDBRAKE" be considered as harsh. Cmon now.

Nothing could make me happier than finally arriving at the driving centre.
I did Parking today. First time too. Pretty fun. It went quite well!
But I mati enjin-ed twice. In a row. Not during the parking process but after u know.. when you try to get out of the parking area? Yea. That part. I released too much clutch. Twice in a row. Other than that it should be okay. Like any other student. Not magnificient though.

There were also MANY times when my car jerked and felt abit old-school. I realised I don't know how to control my oil properly.
When I press, it's too much.
When I try to press softly, nothing gets pressed.
Then when I release the clutch, my right leg will automatically feel like releasing the oil a little. Then I'll end up not using up any oil at all.
That's just so wrong to do during the Parking or the 3-pt-turn.
*shakes head*

So after that,
he thought I should drive to my mother's office around 5-10 mins away with a normal car's speed.
So I drove. ZZZ. SUPER CONGESTION.
IF my first time on-the-road was bad, this was 10X worst.

I had to slow down, stop, move, slow down, stop, move, change gears, stop, balance, move, MORE TIMES THAN I EVER DID BEFORE.
THATS WHEN I REALISED.. IM NOT THAT GOOD AFTER ALL.

I got so bloody confused during the traffic part. Are some of the cars honking me because I am doing something wrong or am I just slow? I don't mind if I'm just slow.. cause there's nothing wrong with that. But my instructor is not saying anything. Is it because he is so frustrated or he thought I was doing alrite? Someone please say something.

I don't get why NOBODY complained about driving on the road first time.
Well I never heard any.
That is why I came up with a conclusion. My driving sucks. I think it's just me. I was super horrible I felt.

Anyway, back to my driving to my mum's office.
Got one part at the traffic light where there was a little slope so I had to do some balancing once again. What do you know? All I heard was honkings and seeing cars passing me quickly and the green light turning to red. GG alex. I was not even fast enough to make the car move. Haihz. Super embarassing.
It happened twice actually at different traffic lights. Twice the embarassment. :(

So my driving sucked.
Hey. I don't know if I will get any better or continue sucking.
But if I do get better, I would probably feel driving differently.

But until that time,
I will not boast about my driving skills anymore.

Smile Kelvin, I know you want to.

My Mid-Year Examination is next week

I brought down a whole stack of files, papers and books from my room upstairs to the room downstairs just now.
I wanted to do my maths. Both maths. Just for a little revision for the exams next week, you know.

But all I ended up doing was sorting out my papers into their individual subjects.
Haihhhhz.

My preparations for the exams next week are so screwed.
Why oh why can't I just find enough will to actually take out my text book to aid me in finding solutions to the difficult questions that often bring down my mood?

Maybe it's the gym session I had hours ago.
Yes. That must be it.
I must be awfully tired.

1:08AM as I type this now.
I really need to learn how to pull myself away from my computer's screen.

But how?
:/

One week ago was my last post.

Somehow or rather, I don't feel like I have anything to post. I mean.. I do but.. everytime I think of something that I want to blog about, the moment I arrive at my computer's screen I will lose all mood to blog.

And so,
that explains the lack of posts.

The society these days are extremely health conscious.
And I am too.
;)

I've registered for Celebrity Fitness in Subang Parade. It's a gym in case you are blur.
A really cool one too.
Very often classes will be conducted and you can just walk in and join.
My muscles had been aching as I had been working them for the past week.
I hope I will be discipline enough to continue with my schedule.
If that's the case, I can't wait to see the results in a few months time. :D
Fit Alex. Bwahaha.

I went and had a look at the Celebrity Fitness 1Utama branch just now. I heard it was smaller but I wanted to see anyway.
The concept is very similiar(no surprises there) and it only differs at the placement of equipments and the rooms I guess.
The entrance from the Shopping Mall was very blue-ish lighted. It reminded me sort of like an entrance to a strip club or something. It felt that way somehow. Don't get me wrong.. I just happened to come across many many strip clubs at my trip to Australia few years back, and so.. I kinda know.

And yeah,
Happy Mother's Day to all mothers!

My Mid-Year Examinations will be coming up soon. The week after this coming week to be precise. Not really ready but since it will only last 3 days for me, it will pass like a breeze. After that I will have the mid-term break. Shud be some sort of a motivation for me. Work hard now, relax later.

Going out for dinner soon.
Will try to find some time to blog.

Sunday, May 07, 2006

I was awaken by my mum on Saturday who was muttering something about a dead snake found in the house, maid left it in the store room and it died of hunger and something about me having to take a photo of the snake along that lines.

:/

As I was sleeping very comfortably, I didn't really reply and just mumbled "mmm" as in "yeah, I heard you."

So when I finally woke up, there was a note written by my dad stating he wanted to have a photo of the snake taken for some complain he was going to make. Bahh.

However, I also had some driving lessons in the next hour so instead of preparing my camera for the snake photoshoot, I had to look for transport to get me to the freaking driving centre.
Ended up, my dad took me to the driving centre.. and I totally forgot about the dead snake lying in the kitchen.
Obviously, my dad wasn't happy and showed some signs of frustration.
Bahh.

Anyway, my driving lessons were a little embarassing. I told my friends yesterday that I shouldn't show off anymore after what happened. Hahaha. I was very proudly claiming that I didn't mati enjin once for my first lesson. Ended up, I mati enjin-ed around 4 times yesterday. -___- Nooooo. The most embarassing one was on the big hill where my car died right on the hill with one long queue of cars behind waiting. Oh my Gosh. And summore I wasn't used to have my engine dying so I didn't really know what to do and started to have a slight panic attack.
I asked my instructor and he told me to do bla bla bla. You wouldn't guess how happy I was to get down the freaking hill.

Another equally as embarassing moment wasn't really involving other ppl watching but just myself. I tend to put my left foot too high on the clutch and my instructor kept reminding me on that. So there was once when I was pressing the clutch but then I realised I was too high and I didn't want him to notice it.
So what did I do?
I tried to move my foot down -_-
ZZzzzZ. Tha was totally like a GG moment for me.

But it was alright la other than that. I get why most people fail at the hill now. Understandable. It's not something I like doing very much. My three point turn is pretty okay I guess anyway.

And summore I met Richmond there driving around. His test is on Monday, which is tomorrow so he was practising. Expectedly, he made fun of me driving after that. -_- I DIDN"T STOP AT THE ROUNDABOUT ON PURPOSE OKAY! The thing was.. there was a car stopping there for some reason. So I had to wait. And the worst thing was.. I had to stop at the part where there was a little slope approaching the roundabout. So what did I have to do... I had to do some mini balancing! Omgz. And considering I am a total newbie at balancing, I had to do step by step, trying to remember what to do each time. And Richmond was making fun of me that I stopped there. -__- And my reverse down the hill wasn't an accident!! It was on purpose. My instructor was trying to get my stopping on the line to perfection so he kept asking me to do over and over again. I had to change to free gear and release my clutch and my brakes. :( Thx. I hope I cleared that up. XD

I'm glad my progress in driving is finally moving.
Wuhoo. In no time, I would be driving around!!! HAHAHAHAHA. Can't wait man. I had been troubling people far too often. Now no need to go home at a specific time whatsoever. And I can go out on weekends too if I feel like it! Or yum cha at night with frens! Hahahaha. And also pay back my frens who had to fetch me home all the time! hahahaha. Relax! That time is coming soon.
I just hope I don't get lost though. My sense of direction is desperately in need of improvement.

So after the driving,
I had to go home and prepare for some birthday party at night.
And I also had to take picture of the snake remember?
But my maid already brought the snake outside and curled it up nicely.
:/
It was freaking geli I tell you.
The snake.
YUX MAN.
I thinking about it also damn geli.
The dead snake. With normal colorful scales and all.
AHHHHHHH.

I want to share the geliness so I'm going to post the photo here.
XD

YUX

Super geli.

And also rite.
My favourite comic, Pooch Cafe, came out with another funny script at the website I get the daily scripts from!

Thomas Cup

Badminton has to be the most ever exciting game in the world.
Yes. It even surpasses football most of the times.

I don't know if it's because of my patriotic self taking over during Malaysia matches but gosh. It is a guarantee that my heart will be affected somehow. That is how much it affects me. My heart is feeling abit pain now. Very weak heart. I know.

But that's only because I just watched the Malaysia Vs Denmark Thomas Cup SemiFinals First Doubles Match.
Super exciting. 3 set. 2nd set the score was 30-28 to Denmark. Can you just imagine that. WON IN THE END BTW OMGZ!!

But first singles lost. I never watched. Can't report.
So now a game a piece. CMON HAFIZ OMGZAOPOPORERWEER.

Will blog more about the badminton part next.

For now, back to the TV!

The Precious Second

omgzzzzzzz.
once in a lifetime experience.
and i was lucky enuff to print screen! XD

...
okla. actually i cheated. -_-
I was bloody doing my ESL project covers and when I looked at the time.. it was 1:04 already. -_____-
So I had to adjust my time back a few minutes to capture that.
Hey it's not that bad okay?!
Only a few minutes.. not like adjusting the whole clock by hours or weeks or months for that matter.
;)

I thought something would happen at that very second.
Nothing did.
:/

At least for me.

Back to projects.
Damn.

Poncho

Yesh. I still got alot of things to complete. Refering to the last post, my updated list of things to do would look something like this :-

  • ESL 2000 words final essay
  • ESL Planning Material + Annotated Bibliography
  • Physics Info-Search Detailed Outline
  • IT Database System
  • Mathematical Studies homework *new*

Looks better now. The IT Database I still got 2 months to complete so yeah.. ;)

Btw. I'm getting addicted over Pooch Café past few weeks. It's really really my type of comic and it's freaking hilarious. When I intro-ed Kelvin to it, he somehow went and buy a comic compilation for it. -_- The leading dog's name is Poncho btw. Hates cats and scared of squirrels. Really damn cute character. Funny shit.

    I'm a busy man

I got nothing interesting to blog about really, with the exception of Arsenal making the finals of the Champions League which is totally amazing. I don't care if ppl say they don't 'deserve' it or Villareal totally pwned them in the 2nd leg but the fact remains that you can't be lucky for so many games in a row. Something had to play a part and there is no such thing as 'deserve' in football. I've learned it through past experiences. Arsenal scored in the first leg. 2nd leg no one scored. Hence, they are through. Live with it. They knocked out Real Madrid and Juventus to get to the semis. It takes more than just 'luck' to get through. Thank you very much.

I have alot of things to do!

But I still cannot find my bloody pendrive which went missing one Friday. Argh. I got so many important files inside. Searching house soon.

    Things to do :-
  • ESL 2000 words final essay
  • ESL Planning Material + Annotated Bibliography
  • Physics Info-Search Detailed Outline
  • Physics Homework
  • IT Database System
  • Specialist Mathematics homework
  • Mathematical Studies homework

    GG la 4 days holiday.
From that list, I think most time will be allocated for the ESL final essay which I have to rephrase some of my contents from the draft I handed in. The planning material also stinks and I don't even have 7 sources to start with. And summore I am supposed to write bibliography for my 7 MOST used sources. Hello? Physics Outline will also take some time of mine. And my physics lecturer has already warned me jokingly regarding his homework. -_-
Specialist Maths, a must do. Maths Studies.. if I don't have the time, I think it's not possible. =(

    GG.

    Pooch Café by Paul Gilligan

Today, I was reading the comics section in the New Sunday Times when I came across a surprisingly funny strip. It was surprising because I don't come across funny comics often. More came as either just plain stupid or they have some american/british joke I just don't get. :/
However, the comics these days I realised are more suited to the local flavour. The Star comics however, are still boring and dull. Thus, I prefer the NST's comics to The Star's anyday.

    The birds are my friends

Remember last time I said I was trying to make my specialist maths teacher to have a good impression on me?

    I give up already.

Somehow, it's just not to be!
Fate doesn't allow it. Not at all.
    -____-

So eversince she checked my 'incomplete' or simply 'undone' homework, I've been doing her homework like mad, completing it every single time, also trying my best to pay attention in class as much as possible. So I thought, yea..finally heading to the right direction.

    But,
    SOMEHOW or RATHER,
    it just wouldn't work.

So in the class one time, I was laughing out loud over a joke I shared with my frens..
Suddenly, she was like "what's the laughing there all about???"
Being the cowardly chicken shit me, I was like "ahh..nothing"
Then I took a quick glance at her noticing her looking at me..
And wtf. SHAKING HER HEAD IN LIKE WAT? DISBELIEF OR SOMETHING.

You could just see from her face she was like thinking ,"sigh..this boy not working hard..so weak and still can laugh like that"

    Sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

    Screw it la.
    I give up liau.
Now I'll just do my work for my own benefit.
No more trying to impress anybody.
    Tee-hee.

I went to the quiksilver revolution thing yesterday. I came right before the click five performance. Special thanks to Kelvin Tan who even was extremely reluctant, he ran up all the way to the top to pass the ticket to me and then walk back then. Wuhoo!
    Performance was pretty good.
    Nothing much to say.

I have more tests coming up this week.
    This would never end.
    Omgz.
    So tired and sleepy.

    Of studying and not

I had so many things to blog about but I cannot remember most of them.
    :/

Also suffering from a minor headache thx to bloody spec maths homework and my fren who is trying to teach me through the net. Sigh.

    So anyway,
I've been doing my work and not dota-ing these last wat..few days or so.
It's a pretty amazing accomplishment considering I'm not a guy who studies or does he homework last year at all.

    However,
with my newly-found motivation and drive,
I somehow ventured into a journey of self discovery and discovered the true reason behind one thing.

Why have I not been studying as much as I was supposed to before..
(this post is priceless to the people who often is so damn curious on how I can be so relaxed even with not studying at all)

Yes. Of course laziness is a factor.
But there's another significant factor which I think triggers the laziness to happen.

It's actually the impression I will give to the ppl around me.

All these while, I thought if I don't study or study less, ppl will not expect much from me. And that feels great.
That is because I'll basically be in a no lose situation where if I score badly, it is expected and if I surprisingly do well, it will be 2X the happiness and shock.
    And that is great.

However, if I DO study hard,
I'll place this impression on ppl's mind that I will be scoring well and thus ppl naturally will expect more from me.
In that case, if I do score well, it is expected and the happiness will be so-so whereas if I somehow do badly, it is gonna be uber 23346X disappointing.

This self-discovery process is making me feel smart. ;)

    Yea.
So that's the reason. I know it may sound stupid. But heck it's me. And you cannot deny the arguments behind it.
Ppl always have this impression of me of being super lazy and not doing my work.
It's true. But at least I don't make them think I will score well.
However, it has already been proven a few times that I DO surprise ppl with my results that they say I do not really deserve.
And that is great. So much better than having expected to achieve that results and just getting it. It sucks.

This thinking of mine may be some sort of a negative but I feel it is benefiting me.
I know hard work pays off but I have not actually lived to experience it yet.

As I had that so called negative thinking eversince I was very young, I never actually know where hardwork can actually put me.
So I rather play safe and don't make ppl put high hopes on me.

And hope in the end I'll be as lucky as before to achieve good results!
Which seems very unlikely this year.

That is why, for the first time in my life, I am actually TRYING to put some effort in my studies.
    Yes. Me. Studies.
I'm taking a risk by studying and making ppl put up their hopes on me. I realised that the positive of this hardwork thinking is that even if I do badly, it IS gonna be super disappointing but at least ppl know that I've tried hard enough. Rox.

And it has been in so many life-achievement inspirational stories where it has shown where hardwork can actually put someone.
I feel I'm at a loss if I just want to 'play safe' this year and not study as hard to 'surprise' ppl at the end. It's a risk too big to take. I'm playing with my future here. I could do that in high school as it brought no significance but not now.

My parents obviously (I know) has seen some effort by me. At least more than last year combined. Heh. But it's just screwed up to think that I screwed up my Maths Direct Investigation thing I had yesterday and today, my IT Common Test last week and I'm quite sure the upcoming tests next week which I can just predict the results.
Those results I am getting are not doing good to my hypothesis that hard work can actually bring success. And it's actually making me feel lower than ever. But I guess all those are just the obstacles I am bound to face by choosing this path of mine.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying I've transformed into a super duper hardworking Alex robot guy. No.
    Not at all.
All I'm saying is I am putting slightly more effort than before in hope that it will bring me the benefit I seek.
I'm taking it step by step so the changes aren't visible but i will at least TRY now.
Don't bring Physics into the picture as I am indeed having some slight trouble with the topic. :( But once again, I shall TRY!

Why am I posting about all these which are bound to be false promises in the future you ask?
That is because, I need a reminder.
That everytime I visit this blog.. I remember about this post.
I need reminders of all sort. If you could do that favour for me that'll be great.
Just remind me about my promises and my future.
I have all sorts of reminders now. I have a Melbourne Uni manager namecard beside my computer, I have the Melbourne Uni website at my url history.. and now this post.

I've already not gamed for 2 days. And even the games I played few days back did not feel as fun as they did last time.

Slowly but surely, I hope.. like a man dying of thirst in the middle of the desert, surrounded by flocks of vultures awaiting his departure, with the rays of the sun almost literally nailing him to the hot sand...

    I ..will..
    reach..
    my..

    goal.

    It's Saturday

    Remember Alexei?

    Image hosting by Photobucket
    I'm a happy big poodle.

It was just minutes ago when I saw Alexei again by the stack of cables and wires some metres away from my computer.

    Image hosting by Photobucket
    =(

    Sigh.
    :(
Everything comes to an end eventually doesn't it?

Huey Shyan surprised visit us last Saturday on the Scholastic Award Ceremony day thingy. I didn't go so I got the message kinda late. I heard the guys went to 1U after that and after their movie, Huey Shyan appeared from nowhere and startled everyone. Shocked and all. I heard they had a very emotional hug too. Hahaha. However sadly, I was still sleeping on my bed and putting down Kelvin's calls so I didn't get to witness the event.

However, I got my own fair share of shock when the guys decided to come over my house with Huey Shyan.
I was happily on my computer when my maid suddenly told me there were ppl looking for alex outside the house. I was like wtf? Zzz.

So I reluctantly went off from my computer to the maingate outside my house.
    Wtf. Really there.
The guys were demanding me to let them in and all. What could I do. I opened the gate and asked what they were doing here.
They didn't reply or anything.. Just either changed topic or laughed it off.
Then out of nowhere, Chrisanne popped out.

    "Eh? You here too?"
    She just smiled at me.

Few seconds or so later, another girl walked in the gate.
It was dark so I took a little while to figured out who that was.
But that little while wasn't long.

    OMG?
    What's she doing here!

    .
    .
    .

The guys were obviously silent with big grins on their faces when they noticed me trying to figure out who that was.
I saw her. Then I looked back at the guys?

    ???? Huh? What's this. Lol!

    Walau.
    Damn funny moment la. Surprising.
Eventhough Teck Eng expected me to be more surprised caused he was. :/

Then they spent some time at my place disturbing ppl on my MSN list and we had a little chat among ourselves.
Also managed to snap some pictures too.

    My Nokia 3250 first review

Hello all. This is gonna be my very first review ever on my new Nokia 3250 which I just bought yesterday.
This is also called a first review as I only used it for one day so far and I'm just gonna review on whatever I've discovered for that one day and simply my first impression on it. It is also gonna be short. So it's actually MY personal review/opinion and should not be considered for public viewing.

    So anyway,
    generally..
    I love it.

    Image hosting by Photobucket
My Nokia 3250 lying proudly on a table.

Everytime I look at it lying just like that.. I think about how cool and gaya it looks.
But I bet you don't know one thing which makes the gayaness 3236236X

    IT CAN TWIST!

nono. not any ordinary camera twist. Its keypad! Twistable!!

One twist and you get a camera mode.
Another twist and you get the music player mode.

    Image hosting by Photobucket
    Twist once for Camera Mode.

    Image hosting by Photobucket
Twist twice for Music Player Mode!

    Woooooooooooh!

And it's black too. Extreme gayaness. And sexy too.
Anyway I couldn't consider any other colors anyway as they only had black/pink available then.
So obviously I chose BLACK DUH.

My previous phone was a Nokia 6600.. bought it quite early after its release. And I didn't upgrade it at all.. So I still had the 32MB memory card which didn't enable me to do anything at all.
So basically, this phone differ so much that my opinions are probably a norm for some who are more used to advanced Symbian phones.

The speaker quality is quite good. I like it. No complains.

However, the camera seems to be lacking slightly. It isn't as good as other 2megapixel camera phones somehow. Well it's definitely better than my 6600's camera duh. But even reviews said it isn't that good if compared.
I think the reason behind this is because of the phone being mainly focused on its music player functions rather than the other functions.
    Thus,
the video quality seemed to be lacking to quite an extent too.

    Nevertheless,
I still feel its camera is manage-able and it's pretty good.. just not AS good. get what I mean?

And another negative to this phone would be .. it doesn't support chinese characters.
    -___-
    Well not yet anyway.
So the chinese songs the ppl there helped me install all have funny boxes and codes.
Yea it's not like I can read chinese anyway but I know abit abit and at least I can agak agak it better than funny codes and boxes. :(

So I'm still in the process of trying to rename the files on the computer then transferring it back in as somehow I cannot rename any of the songs in my hp.

    Puting all those aside,
the phone is still very very good for me.
    It's just so damn cool.

Can you even resist the twisting of this phone?!
    :D

    Image hosting by Photobucket
It's pretty thick too. That's why I love it even more.

    And oh yea, another thing.
It has Symbian OS which supposedly enables you to install applications in it and all from websites.
HOWEVER, sadly enuff.. its symbian version is TOO NEW!
So I basically CANNOT dload anything as of now because it say bla bla bla unsupported. Zzz.
Not to fear as I got a feeling new more updated and advanced applications/games will be coming my way which only my symbian version can dload! Bwahahaha.

I only managed to dload one game btw. Very very cheap loooking java volleyball game and I deleted it straight away. Sigh. I shall wait!

I also transferred most of my fav mp3s to the phone. Pretty fun. Now I can listen to them wherever I am.
I also am in the process of sorting out the tracks and arranging in nicely into proper track lists.
I also still need to figure out and delete some chinese songs which I have no idea what songs are those. Some are quite nice though. So i shall keep.

First day impression, excellent I would say.
Really catch the attention of many when used.
I shall/may review the phone again another like wat? few weeks or months from now.

    Bye bye Nokia 6600. I will miss you. :( || Hello Nokia 3250 :)

    This feeling in my heart

I was rudely awaken this afternoon by the blasting simple plan ringing tone.
I looked at my phone's display screen and saw the ever so huge words blinking, desperately attempting to catch my attention.

    Kelvin's Mum HP
    calling

    Haih.
I was super tired and did not feel like talking to anyone at the moment so I just looked for the red button on my hp and pressed it. I know it wasn't really Kelvin's mum anyway. The kiamsiap Kelvin always uses his mum's hp to avoid the credit usage on his own hp. So, end of ringing. Back to sleep.

It wasn't a while later when I got distracted by another sound, probably something my maid was cleaning downstairs. So I opened my eyes slowly just to figure out it is probably late in the day already. I searched for my HP in an attempt to look at the time but I saw this instead on my hp display screen.

    1 Message Received

I clicked on the Read function only to see a message from Kelvin HP which read,

You guys wan2 go out after scholastic?

    Then it shot me.
My school's scholastic award day is today.
    Dammit.
My whole original plans of attending the scholastic day crumbled so quickly, disappearing from sight.
I always got a habit of looking at Message Details to find out when the message was sent and I found out it was actually 9am in the morning. Yeap. Hours before the phone call from Kelvin Tan. So obviously I missed the whole ceremony and then I went back to my sleep again.

I woke up few hours later only to found out I slept for more than 12 hours already.
I had to take my shower before I finally got fresh enough to think. I remembered about the phone call Kelvin made and the message.
The scholastic award. Damn. I missed it. I really wanted to go.

It was only slightly later when I had another thought about the award ceremony.
My heart twisted slightly as I began pondering.
My eyes had the slightest shade of green as my heart became uncomfortable.

    Scholastic Award.
    I should be there.

Having attended the Award ceremony in 2004 for my PMR achievement.. I suddenly felt horrible that I'm not attending it again.

    I was jealous.
    I felt it.
It was so near yet so far.
I wanted my name to be called by the emcee. I wanted ppl to clap for me as I proudly walked onto the stage to receive my cheque.

    But it didn't happen, obviously.

I remembered in 2004 during the ceremony or few days before it, I was telling my family on how I would not attend the ceremony ever again as I was struggling with my subjects at that time.. the very first few months of Senior 4.

I was really at a joking manner at that time but I was inside quite serious too as I never imagined how I would score for my Physics, Chem, Biology and Add Maths. I was thinking on how one could actually score so many As in their SPM examinations and I thought I would actually only probably got 1-2 that time. So I told my family that I would not be attending the award again and just told them to cherish the moment cause it would be my last.

    How dumbfuck I actually was.

Because of the words I said, it became a reality.
However, I did manage much more As then I had imagined at 2004.
I know I did not work for my SPM so I don't really have the right complain right now.. but neither have I worked for my PMR but I was there.

I missed attending the scholastic award by a mere 1 A.
It was at MSN a while ago when I suddenly got all these feelings jumbled up.

    |a.y| says:
    why u gg-ed
    Richmond says:
    gg..
    |a.y| says:
    today was scholastic award day..
    Richmond says:

    |a.y| says:
    i'm sad.
    |a.y| says:
    i not attending.
    Richmond says:
u shud know the reason why u not there
    |a.y| says:
    i know.
    |a.y| says:
cause the school dowan to allow 1119 as an additional subject.
    Richmond says:
    rofl?
    |a.y| says:
    wat
    |a.y| says:
    it's true
    |a.y| says:
    they dowan to spend money
    Richmond says:
    rofl?
    |a.y| says:
    kiamsiap shit
    |a.y| says:
    or they hate me
    |a.y| says:
    bla
    Richmond says:
    rofl?
    |a.y| says:
    stfu
    |a.y| says:
btw i am copying this conversation to my blog
    |a.y| says:
    tx
    Richmond says:
    wtf?

I had enough As on my SPM slip.
Only the school didn't want to look at that part to count the sufficient As needed.
My classmates in Taylor's all told me their school all actually looked at the 1119(a seperate marking for the English paper) when they were giving away rewards and all.
Even to include the 1119 in the total As were very normal for those from certain schools.
I didn't get to fight my case actively as I was the ONLY person with this problem in my school. The rest who got the same amount of As with me didn't get As for the 1119.
I'm sure if there were more cases like mine, I would actually get ppl to fight with me. But it never happened. So it didn't happen.

No use crying over spilt milk now I know. Whoever I tell this to they will simply tell me that I over-achieved for the efforts I put in last year. No one saw me working hard whatsoever but I achieved more than anyone could predict.
It's true I don't deserve the money if I had gotten it but I feel it is normal to complain after having the reward robbed away from you just like that.
Ppl will tell me that I would probably actually score straight As if I had actually WORK for my SPM which I did not really.

    Does all these actually mean..
I am actually capable of scoring results only posted in the newspapers?
    O_O

    I am actually smart. Hey.
    Just lazy.
    Everyone tells me that.
LOL. I am starting to love myself.

And yes, I may just be saying all these to satisfy myself so just stfu.

    Also,
I'm not becoming full of myself but.. if it is indeed true..
Will hardwork actually put me in Melbourne U like I had always targetted?

More tests up this coming week in college.
    Time to prove my hypothesis.
    Or not?

    Insufficient sleep

Recently, I have been avoiding to doze off after coming back from college.
The progress is quite good, considering I have limited my napping hours to only 1 or less. And there are even days I don't nap. Wuhoo!

But it isn't very good on another side. I need my sleep. And going to bed everyday from 1-2am is not a very good help. My eyes are getting darker and smaller by the day. It sucks having to force my eyes open in the morning. Sigh. Even in classes, I am kinda reluctant to put on my glasses as it will have to ensure I put full attention and not play with my eyes whenever I want. Bah, hard to explain. You would never understand the eyes of a sleepy boy.

And why must my specialist maths lecturer whom I respect so much check my work everytime the time I didn't do?! I mean. I did all the work given before and so happens the homework she gave once I didn't do.. she checked on that particular day.
WTF?! Wat la. This is not good. Really not fated to give good impression at all.
    Blah.

Next week Common Test 2 summore for Spec Maths. BAHhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Also on the same day, I will have my ESL Issue Analysis Oral Test.
One on one masuk talk to the teacher.
More than half of my class finished already. My surname starts with a "Y". Therefore,
I am gonna do it on the last day.

ADP library is cool. Somehow I feel more motivated and 'semangat' to do my work there.
    Less cramped up.

Dun like the results for AI5 this week. Booo. So many more undeserving ppl shud go out. Blah.

Tomorrow FINALLY gonna go for my remaing 3 hour practical with my driving instructor. Wtf. Summore he's not fetching chrisanne and i there. Gay ass. Have to use our own transport. Talked to him just now summore. Sounded like so reluctant to teach us. Bla. Just get it over with asap la. Dammit. Too long of a delay. Argghhhh!
I will still make it in time before my Mid Year!! (my target) or maybe not. Since the Mid Year Examinations is gonna be around May. April already.
    Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

And nobody fooled me on April's Fool.
    :(

    I miss the "your-zip-is-down" trick.
    Bwahaha.

Heard my fren is giving tuition classes too to a primary kid.
Omg. Was so excited after that. The prospect of me teaching a kid.. walau. Gayanya.
Let's say la.. if I were to teach.. I think I would teach English and Maths to the primary kids. But I shall always bring a dictionary along for my English tuitions as my limited vocabulary is a major problem. :( What if suddenly the kid asked me a word I don't know! Then I have to pretend to be smart and say.. "the dictionary is your best friend" Hmmmm.
And don't laugh at me teaching maths okay. My primary maths is definitely do-able.
    ;)

But screw it la. As if I will find the time to do. Maybe if get license first.
    See first.

I realised I am not a night homework person I thought I was.
I am more of a ..at certain situations kind.
    Wtf gay.

Teck Eng messaging me. He lost his pendrive. Ironically both of us had the same pendrive. And also ironically, I lost the cover but not the pendrive and he lost the pendrive but not the cover. Then he just gave me his cover.
Omg so sad wei. But when I inserted the cover into my pendrive.
    It was like.
    The unity of two souls.
    Oooo.

Check out this lastest graphic i made.
Pretty stupid actually. I just found a link to some photoshop brushes site and I was at a dload spree.
Then decided to come out with something.
All I did was to choose different brushes and splat it all over the page.
And added that very corny text.
Oh wait. The speaker thingy looks out of place. Zzz.

    Yawn I'm a boring and a very un-artistic person.
    Bwahaha.

    Meet Alexei

    arf!

Had Alexei made for RM1 yest from the Charity Drive Carnival thingy. So cheap. And damn fun buying a poodle made out of a balloon. Might as well la. Since it's for charity anyway. Wahahaha.
Found out that my class didn't make the highest profit. Thought about it a while and didn't really care after that. Charity is the ultimate priority. Not the hamper.
I just gained another 100 points. Haha.

Also attended the Taylors Next Top Model event. And a little bit of the Zest Party after that. Pretty cool la the Top Model competition. Nice seeing good looking Taylors students modeling around on the runway. And the male and female I voted for won in the end too. Damn I rock.

Party abit the sien. Simply because I think most ppl there know each other. So they had a good time dancing with each other. But I only know my limited Seri Cahaya frens.. so it was alrite. Not the party animal kind anyway.

Felt super tired and sleepy yesterday.
Glad I had a looong sleep.
Woke up not too long ago.
    Tee-hee.
