BERSIH - Rally for Electoral Reform [Part 1]

Before I begin elaborating on my adventurous Saturday, I would like to state how dumbfounded I felt at the reaction of the government towards the entire rally and the state of how they responded towards the international media which covered the news is shameful and depressing. How angry I was at the amount which was censored at the national media level and how biased, and fake the reporting on the entire rally was. The police and the ministers of our country resorted to lies and baseless facts when asked to comment on the rally. I am embarrassed, and sickened, but somewhat not surprised. Deep inside, I know that was the reason in which there was a rally in the first place. A reason in which influenced my decision to participate in the rally in the first place.

***

That Saturday morning, I woke up the earliest in days after I spent much time rotting at home thanks to the first week of my holidays. People who know my sleeping habits would know a rocket blast would probably still not wake me up and the fact that I actually woke up in time on that Saturday, I believe, shows the commitment I had towards the entire event.

I decided not to wear yellow after reading several precautionary measures I received from some friends before, and that decision, you would see, paid off in the end.

I knew what was coming. I knew there were gonna be blockages. I knew there was gonna be police, but I was never ready for what I eventually saw on that day.

As I passed the toll house separating Shah Alam from Subang Jaya and beyond, the traffic came to a standstill.

A roadblock.

So soon.

I drove passed the police with no signs of fear whatsoever etched on my face but only a hint of anger I felt towards the incompetent and sad state of the leaders of our country who ordered such acts - the anger which I had to direct towards the 'innocent' policeman, which I took as somesort of a medium to channel my negative energies, but I shouldn't have really.. as he was just doing his duty.. but nvm.

I knew the roadblock was meant to arrest ppl who was attending the rally because the few which got stopped, I managed to peek, were middle-aged men wearing yellow t-shirts. And I can assure you that was not a simple case of coincidence.

If the roadblock at the Shah Alam exit was not enough, wait till you reach the train stations.

There was a horde of police stationed at the Subang Jaya KTM station who was also catching suspected protesters who was going to KL via the trains. There was a police truck, and some stationed at the ticket machines to check on people who were boarding the trains. I obviously did not get caught. Non-yellow shirt and innocent-looking-baby face paid off there.

If that was not intimidating enough, the train I took was crowded. To the brim. Not like that is the fault of the anyone but it's enough to make anyone turn back.

I had to stand still on my spot and not move an inch. Literally. The only thing I could hold to keep my balance was a tiny portion of a pole on the train. And the worst is yet to come. A somewhat sweaty man boarded the train at the next stop. And he, too, had to keep his balance. So he raised one of his hands to a higher section of the same pole I was holding, leaving his lower arms totally directed right in front of my face. Great aim, perfect height. Best-alignment-ever. You cannot get more accurate and precise than that. I bared. During that moment in that crowded train, I once again thought of the sacrifice I was making just to attend the people's peaceful assembly. Oh how much I was sacrificing.

The train reached the KL Central station 30 mins later. I managed to arrive right on time and met TK and his friend there.

Surprise, surprise more policemen but the sight of the men-in-blue has become such a common occurrence that they do not scare me anymore.

We boarded another train to Masjid Jamek(how lucky), and as we arrived, we were greeted by truckloads and truckloads of more of the men-in-blue..

The sight of a police patrol car/truck/bike passing by every 15 seconds was the last straw for me.

I became furious at that point.

truck #1

chemical water-cannon truck #2

Why were they doing so much. Just to stop the people from peacefully practicing their democratic rights who only wanted to fight for a fair and free election.

Why were they committing so much. To rob the basic democratic rights of the people, when they were never as committed when solving crimes and putting criminals behind bars.

FRU: sila bersurai

On a brighter note, the police were not the only thing we bumped into in the areas around the station. There were obvious people who like us, were awaiting any signals from anyone to begin the march to the palace. There were people in red uniforms, the ppl from Unit Amal, who did a great job in guiding the growing crowd during that time, and the rest of the day.

Everyone silently acknowledging the presence of each other. Everyone watching silently the antics of the police and the FRUs who started blocking roads and sending in big ass trucks occupying the road in front of where my friends and I were waiting.

I felt as if the stage was set at that very moment. The citizens versus the police. The people versus the entire government. Only time would tell the outcome of it all.
There was a growing sense of anticipation and excitement at every passing minute.

It was then, after a reasonably long time of waiting, my friends and I heard a group of people chanting and shouting something which was not clearly audible. Many onlookers like ourselves rushed to the sound of the chants to see what was happening. Has it begun? Is this the start of it all? What is going to happen? How will it all end?

A huge group gathered at a point not relatively far from where my friends and I were standing. We thought of observing the situation first before putting ourselves fully in it.

Not long later, the red police trucks started moving towards the direction of the reasonably large gathered group of people.

A few words of warning, and the next thing I know,

there were incomprehensible shouts of protests and the sight of the gathered group of people dispersing into different directions.

The moment I noticed water cannons and tear gas shells used by the authorities upon their own citizens, my patriotism became second to none.

As the first blast was shot, the sky instantly turned eerily dark, the rain suddenly poured heavily..

More in Part 2.

In brief

Oh my gawd.

Where do I even start????!

I'll definitely update further when I get the pictures from TK. This is just a, wth-immediate-feedback kinda thing. Just got back from the rally.

For now,
do know that I am safe and alive. If you actually bothered to read several international news agencies like Al-Jazeera and AOL and all, you would know that the police resorted to violence towards their citizens at a peaceful rally.

I,

had to run in rain,

had the chemicals from the water cannons irritating my nose and eyes even when I was just standing at a reasonable distance.

tear gas almost hit me. close call. Ran like a bitch. Haha.

had to run with a cut on the back of my foot thanks to my shoe. almost unbearable.

exhausted.

super exhausted.

but worth it.

I became very angry when the police started firing at the citizens to end the peaceful rally. Resort to violence. For what? For your own citizens who you should be protecting who were only demanding for a fair and free democracy in the form of a fair election?

Like that also cannot give? Must fire at citizens all? Must put on your rugged army-like uniform and carry shield and gas masks? Must resort to such violent tactics?

WHAT IS THEIR PROBLEM SERIOUSLY. I WAS SO ANGRY THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE MISTREATMENT.

Don't they get what is the rally about? Why were there roadblocks all the way from Shah Alam?? To police stationed in train stations. To trucks and cars and bikes of policemen patrolling KL like some @#$%^. GAH.

embarrassing. so embarrassing. so-called democratic nation. with a corrupted, everything, right from the elections.

heck it.

BERSIH Rally for Electoral Reform Part 1 update coming up next.

On how ridiculous it was seeing road blocks at all roads leading to KL even from Shah Alam itself, to the truckloads of policemen in the LRT station.

Gah.

Awesome experience.

I feel Malaysian all over..

edit:"Hardest hit by police action were the crowd near the Masjid Jamek LRT station who were fired at with torrents of chemical-laced water from a FRU water cannon."

No wonder lah. -_- so 'lucky' to have chosen that stop of all places -____- TK!

BERSIH - People's Rally for Electoral Reform

Everyone.

Clear any appointments you have on the 10th of November at 3pm this Saturday. Instead, set a reminder on your phone or PDAs that this Saturday would be the coming together of the nation to fight for justice and democracy we have been robbed of all these time. And lastly make sure, you be there.

Don't give a damn about politics?

I didn't. But the past year has taught me how much I have been gagged and blindfolded by the entire stigma. As citizens, I believe we should fight for what's right for our country. Don't say you were not given the opportunity to do anything, this is the time.

Being the youth and younger generation of this country, I trust that we have a huge role to play for the betterment of the nation.

And this rally is not about bringing down the government, no.
This is a PEACEFUL, i stress, PEACEFUL rally organised by people who longs for the fair and free democracy not present in our country today.

On the 10th of November, 2007, people will march to the Istana as a nation and BERSIH representatives will also hand over a memorandum to HRH the Yang Dipertuan Agong.

The 4 immediate key demands would include:

* The use of indelible ink to prevent double-voting;
* The abolishment of postal votes;
* Clean-up of the electoral roll;
* Equal and fair access to national media.

All in the name of the coming general election.

It sounds simple doesn't it, but no. Somehow, our electoral system is structured in such a way that the election in itself is corrupted and unfair. Then how would citizens be given the chance to choose their government when everything is so biased to begin with. In a system where the ruling party holds so much percentage majority-wise over the opposition parties, the country will go nowhere. It leans almost towards a monarchy or a one-party system where no one in the country can out-rule. = no democracy.

PLEASE WATCH.

If the government has nothing to fear, why not contest in an open general election to see what the public really wants. If they are competent, they get selected. But this can only happen if there's a fair election in the first place.

*
As yellow is the designated protest colour, participants are encouraged to wear yellow items of clothing, armband or a ribbon from today until Saturday, 10 Nov.
*

There may be talks on the fact that a permit is not issued to the gathering and people are gonna get arrested and all. There's also the thing about police blocking the area so no one can enter to gather.

But you shouldn't be afraid. And I, of ALL people, don't think will let that stop me. So why should you back out.

A coursemate of mine who would be attending the event as a journalist e-mailed me some precautionary measures which I think I should share. And this is not to scare anyone of you.

*Be alert but not alarmed, it's not as dahsyat as the organisers and government is making it seem.
*From what I know, there will be heaps of people. Like, heaps.
*Realistically, they can't shut off mobile signals in that area.
*FRU, RELA and the cops will be out full force.
*Don't be afraid of going. Just be a bit smart about it.
*Do take public transport and have alternative transport arrangements just in case.
*Don't wear yellow. Seriously. Don't. It's an awful color and it makes you an easy target for the cops. If you must wear something yellow, bring an arm band or something small to keep in your pocket.
*Try not to put yourself in the middle of everything. It's very exciting yes, but not convenient to run.
*Be careful who you speak to.
*Look out for "planted" troublemakers (if you know what i mean?)
*Be mindful of escape routes (I will update you on this)
*IF (a very big IF) violence breaks out, run for dear life, run but look out for kids or others who may be stuck in the same funk.

*from MalaysiaToday*

If I can convince even only ONE of you to go, I believe I have done my part.

SO,

To those of you out there who spends everyday moaning and bitching about the country and yet you remain seated in that stool or couch of yours doing nothing about it, quit complaining when things doesn't turn out your way.

As Haris Ibrahim said in his blog, look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself : “Can I ever look at you again if I do not join my fellow Malaysians who are stepping out to try and make a change, to try and make this a better place for me and my loved ones?”

I don't think so.

Wear Yellow, Save Malaysia.

Be part of history.

And most importantly, be there.

"We said if we had to die we would die together on that field." - William Gallas

Arsenal proved the spirit and mental strength they possess alongside their superb technical abilities by coming back twice to secure a draw at the Emirates.

This team just does not know when they're behind.

Click to see why Rio is a cunt and why Cesc is adored by so many Arsenal fans these days. Classic.

Ferguson damn bitter. Moaning and whining after the match. And I wonder who claimed that Arsene Wenger is the 'whiner' all these time. Nothing else to complain about then spoke about the abuse he got from the fans. Wth. First day on the job?

To the man utd fans who thought that they should have won it and Arsenal's celebration over a draw was unnecessary and bla bla bla, nice to see them prove the theory that 95% of the 'fans' knows nuts about football who only watch matches between the top 4 teams in the EPL.

*thinks of Anderson rolling around in the field after Cesc fouled him*

Lol. That's your star player right there manure fans. HAHAHA.

I just had to share all of that. Can't hold too much inside me. Sorry.

Couldn't resist.

To a long season ahead, come on gunners!

Ancora Imparo...

Today officially marked the final day of my first year of university.

*Cue the tears of joy, confetti and victory music*

It has been one heck of a rollercoaster ride, with overdue assignments and sleepless nights being apparent the whole year long.

I'm glad I made friends, friends who are great people, but it's unfortunate that it took me a longer time than necessary to open up, thus leaving my time spent with these people often too short and limited.

Some are even transferring to Melbourne next year, a path which I have decided not to follow immediately, but almost certainly only in the 3rd year of my course. Surprisingly enough, the seemingly introverted alexeo feels that he would somewhat miss the company of those people who did not seem to cross his mind throughout his entire period as a freshie of the University.

My course in general has been excellent. I'm a firm believer in the importance of social studies and the studies of humanities in general. And the lack of exposure towards these social theories and concepts during my schooling days being under the Malaysian system and all left me craving for more and finding the entire course very enriching and enlightening in retrospect. And I don't care what anyone says anymore because they can do and say what they like and so can I.

My decision to do what I am doing, and to study where I am at, has paid off definitely. Everyday, I look at the heaps of Engineering students gathering at the cafeteria or the library, who speak a foreign language when they suspiciously speaks in a louder tone of voice as usual to each other, and then I cannot help but feel so grateful that I am not enrolled in what I originally wanted to do. Not out of passion, but peer pressure and everything else.

This is what I like, this is what I do best. And if there's someone better than me in what I do best, then so be it. Because I know that at least if I do something with an insurmountable amount of interest and passion, the possibilities are endless and indefinite. Engineering was a decision born out of fear and insecurity. I opted for engineering subjects during my pre-u period and that year marked the end of it all for me.

"Look. This is not my thing. You cannot bear this for another 4 years at University level." I remember saying to myself.

But it doesn't matter anymore.

All of it doesn't matter anymore.

What matters is that I am here today, and no matter how much I may be moaning and groaning about my tedious workload, I cannot imagine myself doing anything else. Being the 'strange' me, the thing holding me back from doing any designing courses is the fact that it does not critically and intellectually challenge you in any way and somehow or rather, I seek those challenges in what I do.

I like people praising me for something I thought of out of much work and effort which requires one to have a deep understanding of something. I think the word here is 'scholarly.'

I am not being defensive.

*

So thank you my Monash friends, who have all graced me with the fact that the world is not the tiny cocoon I have been living in but so much more. And they all tell me this either indirectly or directly.

From them, I realised that there are many other types of people not just limited to the people I have come to know all these time before my time in University.

From them and the entire course itself, I learnt to accept other people's opinions and that I, clearly do not know everything. It's a lesson in humility. It is not to say I have been a proud person, no. But everything seems to be more.. accepting now for me.

It doesn't make sense. But I don't know how to put it into words.

The next 2 years pose tougher challenges and obstacles ahead and honestly, I am not sure if I am ready to face them. I hope I am.

I have nothing else to say.
I cannot be emo as I originally wanted because I had a sudden inspiration lost.
But point crossed, I hope.

4 months break now. Internship awaits.
Or should it be the option behind door number 3,
the rotting from home.

I can't decide. I want both a break and a productive holiday.

Maybe I'll have a little bit of both.

Maybe not at all.

I don't know.

I can't decide.

Exam Hiatus

I'll like to blame my hiatus on the exams which I'll be having in a few hours time but I wouldn't cause I'll just be lying to everyone cause it was not like I was using the break to study anyway which obviously sucks but it's not like I can do anything about it now cause it'll just be all too late.

But then just now, I was really studying. Like really really forcing myself to memorise and understand the stuff I was reading. 'Happily' browsing through the lectures slides on the ever unrealiable MUSO(Monash University Studies Online) site.

So bla bla bla, I was randomly surfing through couple of notes, forcing myself to memorise those stupid jargons and difficult theories and concepts when I decided to shift to another .pdf file.

Then.

This.

Happened.

Sorry Dr. Jega,

Tag, you're it!

I am a choosy blogger who chooses which tags I would like to do and not to do. And this is one, obviously, which I choose to do.

*tagged by both KW and JL*

***

the Rules

- go to wikipedia and type in your birthday (month and day)
- write down 3 events, 2 births, 1 holiday and tag 5 friends

3 Events

  • 1582 - In Stratford-upon-Avon, William Shakespeare and Anne Hathaway pay a £40 bond for their marriage licence.

  • 1814 - The Times in London was for the first time printed by automatic, steam powered presses build by the German inventors Friedrich Koenig and Andreas Friedrich Bauer, signaling the begin of making newspapers available to a mass audience

  • 1893 - Women vote in a national election for the first time: the New Zealand general election.

    2 Births

  • 1908 - Claude LĂ©vi-Strauss, French anthropologist

  • 1967 - Anna Nicole Smith, American television personality

*cleanest picture i could find off the net*

    1 Holiday

  • # Bahá'Ă Faith: Holy Day - Ascension of `Abdu'l-Bahá

    5 Tags

  • Zhi Ven
  • SJ
  • Karina
  • Liang
  • Natasha (do you still read my blog)

    *

Claude is a guy I come to know from his freaking typical social French theories I learn in Media Studies. And I never knew about the late Anna Nicole Smith sharing the same birthday with me. That's cool.

And the holiday is a freaking awesome event I can't even pronounce. Copy and paste it into Wikipedia for more information. Something religious about all religions fundamental purpose is the same.

    And with that,

    I close this tag.

    Happy Birthday.

The same yesterday 4 years ago, a 14 going on 15 kiddo decided to set up a blog for purposes that very same kid cannot remember today.

Thus yesterday, in the sense of roughly 5 minutes ago, was this blog's 4th year old birthday. *screams in delight*

    Happy Birthday, Blog o' mine.

    *wipes tear*

    for the 'emo' feel

The 19th of October, 2003 is my blog's birthday.

4 years. That is a considerably freaking old age for a blog.

Relatively, that is as old as a human toddler who can speak and walk by him or herself already. Most toddlers-lah at least. I think.. not sure. I'm sorry I don't know anything about growing children. I'm the youngest in my family after all.

Anyways, when I set out to make this blog that many years ago, I decided I want to keep it known and open to friends only. And unfortunately at that time, blogging was still pretty much at an infant stage(okay abit exaggerated) and there was no password or 'private blog' function for sure!

I'm glad after that many years, things still remained that way. To my friends who started reading this blog from Day One. I thank you. You must be the few people who knows me better than I know myself. *bows*

And I'm also really glad that I actually took an effort in creating this blog. Because thanks to that, I have many memories carefully jotted down in the span of all those years. All which I can happily read back in the future. Something which I already did briefly yesterday night, as I spent most of my time reading back my archives from 2003-2005.

    again for that 'emo' feel.

I don't know about you but I certainly like reading the life struggles of someone that many years ago and comparing it with the life struggles of that same someone today. Better if without his or her knowledge. Yes, I know I'm extremely busybody and voyeuristic.

I've basically started covering and recording my life all the way from the post PMR days in 2003 till my overdone annoying rants on my university assignments today.

It's amazing! You can kinda watch me grow up and all just by the archives of this blog.

These are some of the more significant recorded events of my life in case there are someone out there who may care.

-Here's to the activities my school organised for the students after the PMR examinations and my very first post.

-Here's to the tribute post on the final day of school and the analysis of my SPM papers right from Day One till its final day.

-Here's to my response of me scoring full marks for my colorblind Undang test which I was not meant to, featuring also a frustrated post on how I wasn't given credit for designing a flyer for a Haunted House my class in College organised for a charity event.

It's actually pretty scary too knowing that my life is pretty 'exposed' all these years. :|

    But what the heck. -_-

    .
    .
    .

So, with all that being said, happy birthday once again.

    *pops champagne*

to the sucky annoying rants all those years and today.

    *raises glass*

and to the many great years to come.

    Awesome

I just have to blog about this.

The problem, or one of the problem(s) rather, with me is that I am very easily influenced or inspired by something or someone I see. But it's OKAY because a few days later of ignoring that particular subject matter, I go back to my normal, uninspired, boring self.

And once again, I am proven to be defense-less against this stigma.

Why oh why didn't I learn the piano when I was younger?

First, listen to this track by Ciara titled Like a Boy if you haven't heard of it (where have you been?!)

    Then,

    watch this.

    :o

    that's right.

that pianist has A LOT more piano renditions of famous hits. check out his profile.

    Awesome. with a capital A.

    Pyramid 2

    AND

    +

    AND

    =

    Pyramid 2!

or a.k.a an extension of Sunway Pyramid which popularity was sadly dying.

It's almost like a battle between the shopping malls over here in the Klang Valley. First 1 Utama had their extension, then, it suddenly created the trend for other shopping malls to extend themselves too! Now Mid Valley has their own new neat section, which I haven't visited, and Sunway Pyramid now has Pyramid 2. And I heard there's a new mall in KL by the name of Pavilion or some sort.

If there is indeed a "battle" proceeding, in the short term, it can only benefit one party. My shopaholic friends and non-friends alike. *thinks* I can already name a few.

But that's not the point. The point is, Pyramid 2, which I visited few hours ago and to my dismay, not all the shops are occupied yet. Which probably and HOPEFULLY, explains the 'not-so-syok-ness' of walking around unlike other malls. But what do i know anyway? I'm not that much of a mall fan. :/ But I get a better .. vibe? walking in other malls lah. That's just my lousy worthless opinion.

So most of the shops at the lower levels were occupied, and the shops at higher levels had the COMING SOON huge posters stuck outside of their 'under-construction' shops. After walking for a little while, it slowly became annoyingly familiar and dull. :<

    Hm.

    You know what?

    .
    .

I really have nothing else to say.

Everything else in the mall felt .. ordinary.

Maybe an exception given to the 2 different colors of the dome thingy lah, as displayed earlier in this post.

But other than that, everything was pretty much the same.

I actually decided and went and take photos because before I left for the mall, JLYap, the 'ronery'(lonely) NZ boy asked me to. And I also thought it would be a good practice for my photographing skills which I lack quite a bit. Hehehe.

And after browsing through the photos which I took just now, I suddenly had an inspiration to make a blog post out of it since,

    1. I did not have anything else to blog about
    2. My blog lack photos
    3. I've always wanted to try a critique-like blog post on a place or an event cause I enjoy reading them in other blogs but it clearly shows here that I can't write them as much as I like to read them. :(

    *

    *cough*

    So,
    lala.

Even though walking around wasn't the most pleasant in the world, at least some parts of the mall were cool.

    Another part of the mall

New-age directory board = a computerised one. pretty cool but if you ask me, i personally prefer the classic non-digital directory board. but that's just me.

Pyramid 2. Everyone should check it out. MOST of the shops are occupied.. really. Maybe only 15% or so are not.. so.. yeah!

    :)

*side-note: final week of the semester this week. yay.*

    I'm DDA. Dangerous Driver Alexeo.

Today was the first time I drove while feeling incredibly sleepy and exhausted. Well I actually felt sleepy while driving before but that was during the medieval ages(not really) of my driving lessons and I had an instructor beside me + I was driving manual therefore more initiative to stay awake but nvm.

I think I know why. It has to be the 3-4 hrs of sleep I had for the past 2 days. No thanks to the presentation I had. And ended up not being satisfied/ happy with the presentation which I've done. As expected.

So anyway, I was super sleepy when driving on the way back just now. And now I finally know the significance of the advertisements on the radio which I found over-played especially during festive seasons. :|

It was damn hard to concentrate I tell you. You know the feeling of you just wanting to close your eyes and let your mind drift off. My eyes were INCREDIBLY heavy, and the little second I had of having my eyes closed when i BLINKED felt so good. It was super tempting to just close and wander off but I FORCED myself to stay up! I had to!

So I turned the volume of the radio up, but to no avail. I just felt more and more sleepy.

It was almost like a battle against myself.

Then ironically enough, don't know if you guys know this but there's this advertisement of a child singing to the 'rock-a-by-baby' tune on the lyrics of how one shouldn't drive back to their kampung when they feel sleepy or something??

I THOUGHT THAT WAS CREATIVE LAST TIME. BUT NOW I AM THINKING OF HOW RIDICULOUS AND DANGEROUS THAT AD IS!

And yes. So that tune played. -_-

The freaking tune is freaking effective in making one feel 10x more sleepy. If you play that song right, everyone who is a little sleepy but still manage-able will end up in a 'worser' condition la. Imagine how dangerous that can be. Noobs.

I changed the radio station and continued to drive.

    Must...reach... home.. I told myself.

    Must..

    Reach..

    .
    .
    .

And then random-weird thoughts u normally have in your dreams started to pour in my mind 'forcefully'.

Like how I was back in my tutorial classroom and how this girl who doesn't usually talk to me is talking to me now and how I was making a fool out of myself.

This is the most interesting moment .

The transition from being awake to being, asleep.

You know how when you are still aware of the things around you such as the feeling of your bed and the look of your ceiling but your mind is already far far off thinking about some random stuff which you will explore further during your deep sleep?

    Yes. That.

I had that when I was driving.

    And it was freaking dangerous.

I was aware of the car in front of me, and I was aware that I was in the car, and I was aware that my foot was on the pedal.

It was just that, I wasn't thinking so much about driving anymore, but more of the part where I embarrassed myself in front of the girl I never spoke with.

Do not sleep. Do not sleep. I was telling myself. And if you don't realise the possible danger of my situation, I was actually driving on a highway. The Federal Highway. On the middle lane, of course.

Then. About 2 seconds(i think or i hope) later,

I could see the front view of my car slowing shifting towards the right. Oh crap, I thought to myself. I was entering another lane and somehow, just somehow, with the undeniable power of sleep, I was simply not awake enough to shift my car's steering wheel.

    Just then,

Bam. A sudden willpower to FORCE myself awake struck me.

ALEX THERE MAY BE A CAR AT THE RIGHT SIDE AND YOU DON"T KNOW IT AND YOU REALLY DON"T WANNA GET INTO ANY TROUBLE CAUSE OF ALL THE HASSLE AND THE DANGERS OF IT.

Imagine those words converted into an emotional and mental alarm.

I somehow managed to push the dreamy blurry foggy thoughts away and I was now fully conscious, but still sleepy, but conscious of my actions.

My swirve to the other lane was not much, but still it was enough to collide with another car if there was in fact another car there in the first place. I was damn lucky there wasn't. But a car on the right lane wasn't that far behind anyway. Imagine if he sees this silver Waja shifting to the right aimlessly all of a sudden and back. No wonder he sped past me after that.

So my friends, please do not drive when you're sleepy. I learnt my lesson. You THINK you can control and be awake just for that very few minutes but no. The power of sleep is greater than you think. Do NOT underestimate your sub-conscious strength.

If you really need to drive, at least, get some caffeine before hand.

Ok I really wanted to make this post short but I guess I failed miserably.

I have one assignment left and I am incredibly pleased. After the presentation, I felt, lighter. Shaddap you. I know not physically-lah of course. -_-

One assignment if you don't count the visual test I have to hand in next Friday. Ok-la. make that TWO assignments.

And next week will be the final week of my second semester in Uni. Perhaps I would summarise the semester up again when it's all over like how I did for my first semester.

And, if you are a loyal fan of mine, you would expect a post about my apparent insecurities in this post, but I thought about it and come to think of it, some things are best kept to myself and I guess I shouldn't share it anymore for the benefit of myself and everyone else who reads it.

    hahaha.

I'm such a mengada person. In Wei Liang's words.

    Ciao.

I'm actually extremely insecure about something I don't normally share or talk about with anyone.

Can you guess what it is?

    Hm

October is here and that can only mean one thing.

Super duper long break starting from early next month!!

People from other faculties damn jealous when the hear that my exams will start on the 1st of Nov and ends on the 2nd. Haha! But what is compromised is the fact that I have heavy weightage for the assignments of some of my units + early tests okay?? Grr.

And nice to know that some friends studying overseas would be back soon here for the hols.

I hope none suddenly comes up to me and speak in some farnee wtf ghey accent. If that's the case I'm gonna really hit damn REAL hard. Gah. Don't accent me, thx.

And with all that being said,

    I'm off.

..to.. no where in particular. My boring usual routine la! Zzz.

    Red Eyes

For those who see me in person very often, they will know that my eyes are constantly puffed up and red in color.

Most evident after I drink especially. Hehehe. Blood-shot eyes they call it me thinks.

But not only when I drink la. I mean, it was most 'prominent', during my schooling days. Freaking bloody red eyes the whole day. Ppl not daring to look straight into my eyes. The super uncomfortable feeling. Bloody itchy but cannot rub if not it worsens it. Argh. The torture.

Anyway, I've seen eye specialists in attempts to rectify the sad state of my eyes..

Yes. You read right. Plural. Specialist-sssss.

So after the thorough(not really) check-up(s), i realised i've got some so-called "common" allergy. due to something in the environment my eyes are sensitive to.

and the gaya thing is that NO ONE knows what. but it's something which I have to find out and avoid.. one eye specialist told me that it's possible to do some allergy test. something like sticking dustmites, bla bla bla, on ur back then see which one turns red(???). Duno. My health knowledge damn limited. But anyway i heard it costs alot..hm, I saw that once though on House. :/

got damn many things in the air rite.. how to possibly find out...

    but..

i actually think i know what it is.

it's.. the... smoke.. from... cigarettes!! i really think so omg.

well honestly i'm not a smoker-lah. Ok, I just lost all respect from wild sexy clubbing chicks with that statement but it's ok..

n the stupid thing is, i'm forced to expose to the polluted smoky air everyday! the thing is, Monash carpark, I duno if i mentioned before, is connected to the Monash campus via a bridge.. and ... smokers, like to crowd at that narrow bridge.. to do whatever they do.. so everytime i cross, so ngam rite, they will release a puff. Sigh imagine if there are 5 smokers.. and everyone releases a puff.. T_T

Sigh. Me sensitive eyes can't take it lah. :(

So now that 'you' know, please avoid smoking in front of me ok? THANKS! Not just that I don't smoke, but my eyes.. are just.. very very allergic. :)

Does this mean I wouldn't be able to club anymore? O_O
Since clubs in Malaysia are bloody polluted with smokers? O_O

Hopefully clubs in this country will implement the no-smoking-in-clubs rule soon like how they implemented it in other countries. Then that'll be awesome.

But not all is bad with this condition of mine.. For one, I like to use that as an excuse so that I don't need to drive when I'm feeling lazy (but not fake one okay, really damn uncomfortable with my eye condition)! :D

And two, I've got an extra extension to one assignment bcoz of my allergic eyes~

    Haih.

But if got a choice, i still hope it goes away..

but life is not about having existing things you want but the search for it rite?

    Haih. *emo*

    ESPN-STAR SUX

Hello. It's the European Champions League week once again.

    And once again,

    once FREAKING again,

    they are.

    Not.

    Showing.

    Arsenal's.

    Game.

    F.
    k.

    .
    .
    .

"So what are they showing?" a little voice from the corner asks.

Man Utd vs. Roma, and freaking Stuttgart vs Barcelona.

    @#$%??

    ????

    You tell me.

    Bye.

I'm really gonna send a mail now.

Why is Media Prima(Tv3, Ntv7, 8tv, channel 9) not showing Champions League matches anymore?!! They showed last season? Did Astro tell them not to? If that's the case, I'm gonna be really pissed. So freaking selfish want all the ratings to themselves and yet not showing all the matches. FREAKS. MANURE SUPPORTING CUNTS!!

And I received something funny in my Monash e-mail today.

    ****

    NOTICE TO STUDENTS

    RE: BLOGGING

It has recently come to the attention of the University that there have
been several blogs written by students on the internet which were
derogatory in nature and made against the University and its lecturers
    ("the Blogs").

As such, we wish to bring to awareness that there are laws in Malaysia
and disciplinary policies at Monash University relating to such matters.
The words used in the Blogs could be construed as defamatory or seditious
words and constitute offences under the said laws and policies, thereby
placing the blogger ("the Offender") in danger of attracting legal action
    and/or disciplinary action against him/her.

    ***

    lol.

I personally think lah, what is said in the virtual world should stay in the virtual world alone. The further contents of the e-mail sounded pretty threatening. Like state duno wat law wat law. Need meh? :(

But of coz, being the high-in-moral-and-ethical-values me, of coz I wouldn't do such defamatory acts! Bwahaha.

Ok. Something to take my mind off the cunts from espn-star sports.

    sorry for being vulgar.

    Hah.

For the first time in a long time, I'm actually feeling tired. As in the need to sleep. At 12:30AM.

This can only be a good sign as I have been sleeping at sunrise for the past week or so. Speaking of which, my holidays have ended.

Fall's here in America and that can only mean (besides dry leaves falling down from their branches) that network TV Series are back in either their new seasons or premiers.

If anyone is interested to dload them as well so that we can have something to discuss on, *wink wink*, I'm currently catching.. Heroes S2, Grey's Anatomy S4, Private Practice S1.

I'm still thinking if I would want to catch Bionic Woman S1 (sounds damn corny), Ghost Whisperer S3, and House S4 cause I don't really catch House religiously anyway.

Ok after stating that much of things which nobody really cares about, I would like to talk about my assignments again. Stop moaning you over there.

I have one big major assignment left for my television studies unit, a visual test for that same unit, a presentation for my contemporary worlds unit, all due this coming week. I feel bad for my fellow presentation group mates cause I don't think I can fulfill my promise of having everything completed by Monday (presentation's on Wednesday). But what the heck rite? They will know me soon enough. Hahaha. By the same time next week, I can finally begin to relax thinking that I have one final FEATURE WRITING assignment to go which is due on the final(i think) week of the semester. But that should be interesting so that's fine.

I summed that up in one whole paragraph so you don't have to read it if you don't want to. But if you already did, then that's just too bad.

I feel like going for a medical checkup soon. Like a blood test thingy. I heard you can know alot of stuff from your blood alone. That should be good. I feel sickly. If anyone knows anything about blood checkups, pls do share.

    verysleepyandtired.

    tq.

The most awesome music video there is. The song itself is already awesome dreamy mystique-like but the video makes it 3X better. Watch.

p/s: it is NOT their official video, YET. it is made by a random but is already viewed by over 2 million on YouTube. However, according to the guy who made it, the 'manager' will view the video soon to consider.

p/p/s: yes, richmond intro-ed to me the song (in case he thinks I'm not giving him enough credit). But the key here is the video anyway. superbly artistic.

p/p/p/s: and once again, because I like sharing good things with my friends. :)

    Annoying

I hate this. As I was doing my assignment, researching, not writing just yet, attempting to read through wordy texts and articles to find points suitable for my question of choice, I got stuck.

And after looking at the question again, the question suddenly looked so... 'undo-able'

And then after wasting those many precious hours of researching, and reading and understanding, I thought better and decided to change question.

    This sucks.

University assignments suck. I want someone to shove a guideline at my face with questions to be answered and then I answer all those questions in essay form then I get my essay done.

But no. All I get is one big vague ambiguous arguable debatable question and there. Go do your research and give me your answer in thousand over words.

    *pissed*

and i am not even sure if I am gonna stick to this 'new' question I selected.

    Longest week, ever

This is turning out to be by far the longest week ever for me.

On tuesday, it felt like friday, on wednesday, it felt like sunday, and on thursday, it felt like a new week.

    It was seriously, THAT long.

One of the reasons behind that could be the fact that I'm absolutely dreading the piles of workload I need to do and that I simply cannot wait for this week to be over.

I will be having my holidays next week. I wanted to finish all my assignments before my holidays. So I can just rot at home for a week.

But I guess that will not be happening anymore.

And after all that, it's only Friday today. And I still have assignments due.

Sigh. If only I had more practice in school.

Kids, please do your homework. Or you may just end up like me.

    Pissed. With a capital P.

I am appalled. Seriously. I may even barf.

I just found out MINUTES ago that Astro will not be showing the Arsenal-Sevilla match which will take place in approximately 2-3 hours time from now.

    So what will they show?

  • Boring ol' struggling Man Utd against a reasonably 'lesser' side known as Sporting Lisbon.

  • and Barcelona vs Lyon whose fanbase may be questionable over here in Asia.

    Like what the heck?

I have been reading pre-match buildups to the match in forums and soccer sites and almost everyone all over the world is anticipating the Arsenal-Sevilla encounter! Closely followed by the Barca-Lyon match.

Argh. I'm so freaking pissed I am struggling to find words to explain my inner emotions.

I think I know. Freaking ESPN-Star Sports producers are biased people. I can imagine the very scene right now.

Mr.Producer#1 looks at the list of fixture briefly and then asks, despite quite reluctantly, "Eh, what match should we show ah this week?", all while stroking his coffee mug with a huge Manchester United emblem printed on it.

Mr.Producer#2 stares at Mr.Producer#1 in somewhat disbelief and replied, "U say leh?" His prompt reply was closely followed by the shifting of his attention towards his computer screen which not long later, pops out a website displaying the latest Manchester United football team news.

Mr.Producer#1, the more PRACTICAL of the two, was deep in thought for a few seconds before he finally voiced out, "Barca and Lyon I think we show la, since it's arguably the best match of the day, and afterall, we don't show much European football besides the usual EPL on our channels anyway."

Mr.Producer#2, with a growing annoyed smirk displaying on his face, nodded slowly.

"Arsenal-Sevilla should be a very good match...," whispers Mr.Producer#1 in a voice barely audible.

Mr.Producer#2, now visibly irritated, pretended he didn't hear Mr.Producer#1 and then said ,"wah, Rooney may be coming back oh"

Mr.Producer#1 is now in a slight dilemma. Should he jump on the bandwagon and be a streotypical MU fan? Biased in every aspect and thinking they're superior without any valid reasonings?

At that very moment, Big Boss walks in the room, his motions indicated he was frantically searching for something which was clearly lost.

"Eh big boss, you come here right time la. This week hor.. got Arsenal-Sevilla playing... good match."

Big Boss continued his search and irritatedly replied ,"oh, izzit? good la show that then."

"But Man Utd also playing wor...." the indecisive Mr.Producer#1 said.

"Is it? Then you say leh? Need to think meh? of course show them la!" said the Big Boss, sounding more irritated this time. "Ah! there it is."

Mr. Producer#1 incidentally caught Mr.Producer#2's evil-looking smirk before noting down the decision given by the Big Boss himself. And at that very moment, the Big Boss stuffed what appeared to be previously lost into his pocket, leaving no trail whatsoever on the Manchester United keychain he bought during his last trip to Manchester, England.

    manure.

    I can never be satisfied

After finishing my 2k word assignment, despite rather much damages to my brain and confusion to what I was writing, I started looking at how much it sucked. The assignment I mean, not the process.

You see, my point is, I can never be satisfied.

I can never lie down on a couch comfortably thinking that I can relax now that I completed my work. When I was halfway doing the assignment, all I thought about was how much I wanted it to end regardless of whether it sucks or not.

And now, I unsatisfying-ly am looking at how bad of a job I've done.

From being "out-of-the-topic" to feeling miserable about how little sources I have compared to my other coursemates, this tinge of regret will live on and on.

And after I get back my assignment, marked, I'll look at how much better I could have done if I had started earlier or had more initiative to research or understand the topic further.

    And now,

I'm looking at how my INTRODUCTION is looking as if it doesn't belong there. It may be out of topic.

    ***

The 21st century is a century which marks the most significant of rapid development changes and the scale of this technological advancement is one to behold. Over the past few years itself, there have been a tremendous increase in the advancement of technologies which has naturally prompted many academic studies on the effect this ‘transformation’ may have brought to the world.

My references are mostly written in the 20TH century. And the examples I used, the television and the telephone, are NOT marvels of the 21st century. They exist before then.

    Argh

I'm at the Monash library now.

    It's 12:15pm.

There's a reason why I'm here when my 'supposed' 2-hr class was to be at 11am.

Don't know what happened but all I know is I arrived in campus only at 12pm. No thanks to stupid carpark which was full and was stubbornly not issuing anymore parking tickets.

    I'm so pissed at myself!!

This was a self-replacement class I allocated for myself as I missed the one yesterday.

And now I missed the replacement. -_-

And the worst thing is, I wanted to see how the other groups do their group presentations, and handle the Q&A sessions, but now I do not know. So slight disadvantage there.

And not forgetting no more 100% attendance. And not forgetting missing the very same subject which I did very badly for one assignment.

So now I missed class, am here doing nothing at all, next class a long 3-hour away, need to complete an assignment by tomorrow, can't do that assignment because I don't have the stuff, and people around me here are probably pointing at me and chuckling at this very moment because I'm blogging at the library.

    -_-

What an extremely sucky period for me.

I'm missing classes, and doing badly in my assignments.
And to think that I have 3 huge MAJOR assignments back-to-back next week. *_* This semester is turning out to be a nightmare. I miss my smooth-flowing first semester.

I can't wait for November to come, the much needed long long break. :(

    Sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

    =(

I normally get my alarm from my handphone to wake me up for classes especially during the morning sessions.

Unfortunately, no matter how much I searched and looked, I couldn't find my handphone last night (i only realised the next day that I left my handphone in my car). So I trusted my trusty alarm#2 i.e, my Arsenal table clock, to do the waking up job for me.

Alarm#2 did a reasonably good job waking me up at 9.30am the next day for my 11am lecture. It's just unfortunate that Alarm#2 does not have a 'snooze' button. So I had to manually switch off the alarm and depend on my own willpower and strength to pull myself out of my bed after the '5 more minutes of sleep' everyone seeks when they attempt to wake up.

    I failed miserably.

The next time I opened my eyes, my Arsenal alarm clock showed 10.55am. 5 more minutes to class. And I was still lying sleepily on my bed.

"Bah, heck it la," I thought. "Just another long-winded lecture on globalisation."

So I slept, with the pleasing thought that my next class, which was a tutorial, will only be at 3pm.. meaning another extra 3 hours or so of sleep.

Something which I don't remember what woke me up a while later which prompted me to lazily look at my Arsenal alarm clock for the time.

    1.05pm.

Great. One more hour. Should be sufficient to give me a nice long rest. And then I dozed off once again.

Something else made me wake up later. I was not sure what it was. But all I thought was, "wow. glad I had that extra hour. I feel so much less sleepy now somehow."

Then I stared to the windows outside and thought of how cloudy the day looked today.

I then searched for the Arsenal alarm clock I left aside to get the time.

    "1.05pm"

Hmm. Strange. Wasn't it 1.05pm the last time I woke up?

And then to my horror, I saw the minutes hand of the clock moving forward and backwards in successive motion.

My alarm clock ran out of battery.

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

I prayed to the heavens(for the first time) and hoped that it was somehow still 2pm or so and the alarm clock simply 'ran out of battery' not long after I dozed off. The first clock I saw outside my room showed "9.30". WTF!!%$#@!%!# DOESNT ANY CLOCK WORK AROUND HERE.

I went to a family member's room and started shrieking silently to myself when I saw the time displayed on the working clock.

    5.00pm.

    T_T

Because I felt so bad, because I felt like I've wasted my day, because I felt like oversleeping a 3pm class is very irresponsible of me, and because I know that my tutor would be returning my first assignment today..

.. I made my way to uni at 5.30pm. After i got ready.

And after surviving through a mini-jam to uni, I walked to my tutor's office hoping he was still there. I knew chances were low cause it was after-work time but I didn't care. I felt so angry with myself I had to make myself travel the extra journey and pay the extra effort for something I was not sure was even there.

And so it turned out he WAS indeed still there, on his mobile phone, as I peeked into his office. He saw me peeking and prompted me to enter.

I told him I would be attending tomorrow's tutorial cause I missed today's and asked for my assignment.

His reply shattered the already 'broken' me.

    "You didn't do very well."

"I was hoping more from you, Alex."

His words weren't as hurtful as the self-realization of my results as I flipped the pages.

I cannot remember clearly what he said after that but it was something along the lines of he thinks I am a potential High D scorer as I was with him for one semester and I clearly disappointed him or something like that.

I routinely told him I would try to work harder for my upcoming assignments but he just shrugged and said 'you better' or something like that.

The thing is, how would he know, right? I mean he himself said ONE semester. one FREAKING semester. And maybe it was all fluke, I duno.

Aih. But the fact which remains is, I still sucked at that assignment. And it hurt real, real badly. And the worst thing is? He's the same lecturer/tutor I have with my feature writing unit too, which I have an assignment long overdue.

So one semester of good impression gone with the wind I guess. Just like that.

I posted last time on how a bad result may be able to pick me up again and trigger me to work harder.

And so I got the apparent 'trigger-er' already.

Has the apparent 'determination' arrive yet?

    Iono. =(

    What happened to me.

Perhaps it wasn't such a good thing that I achieved reasonably good grades for my first semester.

One of the things which keep me working hard for my assignments and exams is the satisfaction of giving a good impression to my lecturers/tutors. Don't ask me why. I just seem to have this tendency of sucking up to my lecturers instilled in me.

And because I have already seemingly done that for my first semester, I have lost all passion and determination to do well for my work presently.

I thought about this once and I realised that the reasonably good grades I achieved in my first semester isn't really all fluke and luck (or the fact that my course is 'easy'). The more I think of it, the more I think of the surprising amount of effort I actually allocated on my work. I actually WORKED for it. I actually remember for my major assignment of me having borrowed piles and piles of books from the library for research purposes. And for my finals, I actually had the initiative to write a book full of notes for a unit I took, and even participated in a study group.

    I worked so freaking hard.

But now, I cannot. I don't know why.

I simply cannot produce the very same determination I had. Maybe this 'determination' would come back if my results start dropping real badly. But do I really need that to happen before I could stand up on my feet and drive myself forward again? Sigh.

    Stupid rant.

A friend told me once to get a hobby. Good idea, as I thought it could distract me from thinking too much about things not worth thinking about.

Or perhaps I just need someone's shoulder to cry on. Or a hand to pull me up and proceed forward into the path ahead.

It's always the want to obtain something I don't have, isn't it?

I think I know what's wrong with me.

I'm deprived from all things which matters.

Or at least I think I am.

    Randomnya

Today Monash University, Sunway campus had their official opening/launch/whatever.

Many big big shots were present. O_O

biggest of them all is of course our very own DPM, Najib. And got some other ministers too la. Like Samy Vellu( duno wat's he doing there also. no one acknowledged his presence funnily enough). And of course the people from Monash Australia and the Aussie high commissioners.

Anyway, thanks to those big big shots..

Students like me, the apparent 'leaders of the future', who got classes in the afternoon, have to park far far away from our usually already congested carpark! They closed about 200 parking lots to freaking welcome the DPM who wasn't even looking that all interested in the event! (i know, coz i was in a room allocated for students and staffs to view the entire event 'live')

So anyway, I had to drive all the way deep into some construction area, full of mud. My car damn freaking dirty because of that. And it was some distance to walk too!! *angree*

The only thing nice about the opening ceremony was the monash intro video which i am proudly part of!

HAHAHA! they promised the students who got involved a copy of the video, and the first thing i'm gonna do with the copy is to upload it to youtube so people can hear my voice in its full glory! *Beams* HAHAHAHA.

Actually it was nothing much la. I only had 3 words. no face summore. just a voice-over. HAHAHA! :D

Okla. Nothing to say liau. Just wanted to share my frustration that I had to walk far far over muddy grounds just to get to my university just cause the university people want to 'wipe' some 'shoes'. *pissed*

    And also,

hotdogs, are NOT a 'tapau'-friendly item. So don't ever attempt to bungkus balik unless you want to get yourself all dirty! I learned that the hard way. T_T

*5 bucks wasted* but screw it la. still ate it anyway. :|

    Sigh

I think i'll make a very bad journalist. So that's one option out of the window.

    The reason?

    .
    .
    .

    Deadlines.

    I simply cannot meet deadlines.

If I really do find work as a journalist in the future when I enter the workforce, I bet i'll be sacked within a week. 2 weeks tops.

But probably not la. Since my life and money all depended on it and all... so should have more initiative to work... oh, whatever. :/

    Sigh.

Another deadline not met for my writing assignment. what is freaking wrong with me? :(

Harry Potter and the Sorting Hat

    *****

Which Hogwarts House Would You Be In?

The Sorting Hat would put you in Ravenclaw. You are wise, perceptive, and quietly brilliant. You may not always be noticed right away, but you are widely respected for your humor and brains.
    Find Your Character @ BrainFall.com

    ******

not the first quiz which sorted me to that house.

    so i guess i'm really, a ravenclaw.

"Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure" <-- proverb associated with ravenclaw. gaya rite?

    bwahahaha.

sien la. life so much a routine these days. like i said somewhere in one of my previous posts, one major assignment due next monday. when i say MAJOR, i mean one which cannot be done just few hours before the due date kind.

argh. must go conduct interviews and all. one frustrating thing is that in feature articles, anecdotes are often included to make the piece more interesting. anecdotes are like mini stories in the article. of course i shall be trying to add one of those 'anecdotes' in. but eat up quite alot of time to write a gaya descriptive sentences one! eg: the wind caressed her hair as she lifted the rock. (example oni la)

NOOOO! this post is making me have the sudden realisation i'm already so much behind time!

sigh. during my final Q&A session on the assignment in my feature writing tutorial today, learned that it's best if i could write a piece which would affect someone's perception on certain things at the end of the day.

and that i should be writing things people don't already know! omg.

interesting lah. but very mafan when it comes to finding my angle and MAKING my interviewees CONFIRM the stuff i want them to confirm.

summore no formal practical interviewing training one. -_-||

    ish.

and to think that after this so-called 'major' assignment, i've got an even bigger one to come after this one on the same subject. that one really major major la. this one can be considered mini-major.

but that doesn't justify anything! i still need to do alot of stuff to get this one done! cannot fabricate anything on the way.

if anyone got any idea or things to say regarding the "mamak" culture in malaysia, please do share! :D

i'm now currently planning on looking at the racial aspects of it. why malaysians of any race can 'lepak' there and not anywhere else. perhaps it could be the "racial playground" of our country?

but i realised that angle is one which is quite debatable. people gonna tell me it's not like the different races are eating together also. ish! :|

hmmm. so pls help if possible~ Thanks!

    *

i guess i'm a disappointment to the ravenclaws.

    A gelifying day

One of my worst nightmares came true this afternoon. It's haunting me till now. :(

An adult cockroach crawled my right hand.

I was so gelified and shocked at the same time I just stood still for a couple of seconds, trying to take in what just happened.

I cannot scream like a little girl in front of my uni mates. I had to bear.

I couldn't think of anything else then but to walk straight to the washroom, leaving my stuff and jacket on the table on the way, not thinking about what might happen to my cast-aside belongings.

With the fullest of force from the tap, I washed my hands. With a force almost as powerful as the new washroom taps, I scrubbed every single part of my hand.

It was just a mere 2 seconds when the pest was on me. But it was still on me.

Even up till now when I'm typing this, I'm still pretty much traumatised by the incident.

    So. Damn. Gross.

Any little sensation prickling any parts of my body now I will move any limb of mine nearest to the sensation, aggresively.

I don't even want to use my bag anymore. I think I'm going to class tomorrow without a bag.

Ok, that's actually a good idea. So no bag tomorrow.

On another non-gelifying note, on the way back driving from Monash today, the radio station I was listening to suddenly played a song which brought back many happy memories. Non-cockroach related. I couldn't resist the temptation and it wasn't long until I was belting out the song with the loudest of voice possible in my car. I even started to bang my steering wheels to create the 'beat-effect'. I amazed myself. I actually remembered the lyrics to almost the whole song.

For those wanting a little deja vu, here's the song I listened to:-

    Last minute assignment

Almost 6am now and I've just completed my assignment.

    -________-

after many many weeks of not doing any assignments whatsoever, i simply did not have the mood to do any long reading or typing. T_T

But because the due date is today, n the due hour being a few hours away, I just had to force myself with every ounce of strength and will I've got to start typing on Microsoft Word. Sigh.

But I finally got it over with just minutes ago. I thought i did pretty shit but I guess I.... should be okay. :| Berkarat liau.

So the positives: hopefully got the assignment-doing mood rolling again and learn from mistake (last minute work sucks)!

and the negative. me = a zombie for the whole day. Sigh. gonna suffer like anything in classes and all. :(

    no more last minute alex!
